INTRODUCING CAR CAMPING!!

If you’ve camped with us at Coachella before, you’re probably used to parking and lugging your gear. Now you can park your car right next to your tent. Also, for the first time all festival attendees will be able to go in & out of the concert venue during the show for the entire weekend!

Car Camping spots are 10’x30’(General Camping 10x30). Your car and as many people or tents you can fit into that spot (as long as it’s not against the rules) is fine with us. Please note, car camping is limited. ONE CAR PER CAR CAMPING SPOT.

Every car entering the Car Camping area must have (1) Car Camping spot ticket to enter. In addition, everyone entering Car camping is required to have a festival ticket. You/your group must camp next to your car(s). For safety reasons, vehicles are not permitted to leave and re-enter this area and every car camping spot must include a car. Once you drive in and set up, you’re there until the festival is over. However, if you need to leave early, please let security know, so they can help direct you out safely. Your car will NOT be admitted back in to the car camping area once it drives out.  ONE CAR PER CAR CAMPING SPOT.

If you plan on leaving your car overnight at the venue, you must purchase a Car Camping pass. Each car camping pass automatically comes as a 10x30 space.

If your group is camping and driving more than one car to the festival, you must arrive together to be able to park & camp next to each other. People in your group arriving later can drive in and park wherever the next available Car Camping spot is and then either set up there or walk over to your area to join you. You are on your own to coordinate with each other. ONE CAR PER CAR CAMPING SPOT.

RV CAMPING AVAILABLE TOO!  CLICK HERE FOR INFO

May I drive in/out of car camping?

Once you are parked in a camping area you may not move your vehicle for the duration of the festival. This is for your safety and the safety of your neighbors. However, if you need to leave early, please let security know, so they can help direct you out safely. Your car will NOT be admitted back in to the car camping area once it drives out. Given the configuration and the limitations of this site we need everyone to cooperate with the staff and park where directed and remain there. This is the only way that we can accommodate all ticket holders on the property. Please understand that when anyone disregards the parking and camping instructions it can create havoc that will ultimately impact everyone's comfort and safety.

Checking into the campground? I need details.

It's really not all that complex. Just get to the event. There will be signs and/or you will be directed when you get there. We will try and post more details closer to the event but don't stress about it now.

Can we/How can we camp next to each other if we are not arriving together?

Well you won't be able to park next to each other if you don't drive together. However when the later party(s) arrive they can just park where the next spot is and can still walk over to your spot. Probably best to plan meeting to arrive together as much as possible for your group. (for Car and RV Camping). For Tent only camping, same deal, If you want two 10x30 spots together you need to arrive together to assure being next to each other. However those are pretty big spots so most people will have room to have multiple tents there anyways. The larger the group you are planning to camp with, the more you will have to plan for a larger number to get there at the same time. We're confident you'll figure out something that works best for your situation.

What if I cannot find my campsite after the concert?

There will be camp counselors to help you if you get lost. But try to remember what area you are in, there will be multiple camping areas.

Will there be food booths (with what?) or a general store (with what? at the campground?)

What are the general store hours?

MAIN GENERAL STORE open 24hrs and all other smaller camping locations open 7am-2pm re-open at 11pm-close .(hours subject to change)

Will there be a place for me to buy coffee or get hot water?

There will be coffee vendors there.

Will there be electrical outlets?

There are no outlets other than for charging cell phones at the Cyber Cafe in the middle of onsite camping.

Where is the closest ATM?

Closest to what? There will be ATMs around the general stores in the camping areas as well as inside the venue. That might make it onto the festival map too. You'll find one if you need one.

Can I bring my bicycle?

Yes. Find parking/locking area at your own risk. No bikes allowed in Venue.

Can I bring the family to camp?

All campground attendees must be 18 years of age or older with ID or if under 18, be accompanied by legal parent or guardian. Every camper must have their own festival ticket.

Please note: An older sibling or older friend or friend of the family is not automatically your legal guardian. A legal guardian would be held legally responsible for you in a court of law.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legal_guardian

Can I bring my friends into camp?

Sure, as long as everyone has a festival ticket you can have them come to your camping spot.

No. You can sleep in your car, on your car, next to your car, in an RV, on an RV or other creative sleeping places as long as it's not against the rules.

The various camping areas are all adjacent. Wear comfy shoes though, this is a large festival with large surrounding camping areas.

Are generators allowed into the onsite camping ?

Only to power RV or camper. No other generators allowed.

Where is the nearest Gas Station and/or offsite food place?

A gas station is about 3.6 miles away, Monroe & the 111. Going down Monroe towards 111 there is a drug store closer. There are several food places up and down hwy 11.

Can we bring alcohol?

Reasonable amount of beer (limited to 1 case of beer per person) (NO KEGS, NO GLASS, NO LIQUOR), for personal consumption only (NO VENDING), by folks who are of legal age (21), will be permitted to be brought onto the camping areas (not concert area). If, however, in the security's judgment it appears that the amount of alcohol is excessive for the number of persons in the vehicle, or if anyone in the vehicle is under 21 years of age, the organizers reserve the right to deny entry of the vehicle and/or confiscate the alcohol. Kegs may not be brought onto the property. Please keep these things in mind and be sensible about how much you plan to bring in. Beer will be available for purchase on the concert field. Yes boxed wine is ok to bring too.

Where do people that are staying with me in my RV but driving up separately park for the weekend?

There is a LIMITED amount of overnight parking for companion cars. This parking lot will be a long walk to all the camping areas. There is no close drop point for camping gear. If you are joining your friend(s) who already have a spot set up or you have more than one car with your group of friends sharing a spot, you can park the other vehicle here. It is imperative that all onsite campers carpool and combine into the least number of vehicles. This area WILL fill up. If you move your car from here you may not be able to get a spot when you return. Cars parked in this lot will ONLY be allowed to leave or return between the hours of 2am - 11am starting friday 4/16/10. If you need to leave for good to go home outside of those hours, plan ahead and move your car into regular festival day parking between 9am - 11a.

These lots will be closed to in and out traffic at all other times.

Please note that festival "DAY PARKING" is not for overnight parking or campers and cars will be towed at 3am.

Stand By for camping/parking maps closer to the festival dates.

Will you provide RV hookups?

RV hookups will not be provided on site.

Can I bring a small trailer attached to my car into the Car Camping area or do I need to obtain an RV Camping Pass?

No. All pulled trailers (even small ones) need to go into the RV Camping area.

I have a full size van or WV Bus. Can I still park it in the Car Camping section, or do I need to park it in the RV section since I plan on sleeping in it?

You can park in the Car Camping area.

My question is not here and I'm freaking out because I need to know now!!!

DELIVERED RV? / I have someone delivering my rv./ . I am coming later/the next day. How is that going to work?

If you are having an RV dropped off, please have the person delivering the RV provide the RV camping ticket and the rental paperwork (if It's a rental) upon arrival to staff at the event entrance. The driver will be escorted off the property once the RV is parked. Please make sure you get the location of where the RV is parked from the person delivering it.  If the delivery person has an escort car accompanying them, they may wait for them by the Event Entrance (toll booths)

Please advise the delivery person there may be a line to get into the event to park the RV if they arrive during peak arrival times. These arrival times and wait times may vary.

When you arrive to join your RV, please note there is no drop off area.  You will have to park in companion car parking and carry any camping gear and belongings that were not already in the RV to your RV spot.  Everyone going to your RV must have a festival pass.

If you require the delivery person to also pick up the RV when you are done camping, have them check in at the toll booth just as they did for the delivery.  They will be escorted over to your RV for pick up.
