Hey, I've just been wondering, how long has the Coachella Message Board been around for? It seems like some people here know each other quite well, and many of them have never ever met the person at Coachella, or else where. Even new people to the board get to know some of the regular members quickly. Members such as Courtney, Tom, Yablo, Dani, Hannah, Amy, FOI, Caco, Mount, Mob, Bug, Supre, Pot, and others. Also, infamous members such Delta, LGM and Ken. Im not sure exactly where I am going here...
But basically what Im asking is how long has this board been around. And also, how long have you individuals been posting here?

I started posting around the same time as Alma, because I remember because I felt competitive because we were both new. In those days, the entire board was one delicious conversation filled with jokes. In my (not so) humble opinion, the board rennaissance was the spring and beginning of summer after Coachella 2005. When Jack posted Yablo's shoes and Gabe and Jennie were official and it started to feel like a real tight group. Fucking Rue would school retards that tried to latch on so fucking hard, that level of quality control is unmatched. 2006 was okay but the sense of apocalypse grew ever more forboding. Post coachella 2006 the vapid trolls started edging in and winning over the sympathies of the weak willed, essentially turning the board against itself.

Now we have nuboard, where identities are skewed, respect is won and lost within days and people think they can fucking talk shit to Yablo.

I don't believe we'll ever revisit the golden age, however, I haven't e-lost all board hope, the power of ignore is mighty, and there's Hannah. So.

I read that 2003 board; I don't recall if I posted or not. I didn't post a lot in 2004 but I did find people to ride to Coachella with that year. Summer 2004 was pretty sparse. I remember somebody using the message board as a blog. I think it turned out the only reason he was here was to shill his band. I posted a little more in the leadup to 2005 but I never got into the Gorilla vs Bear thread so I wasn't completely sucked in. I got another ride to Coachella with a random board member. I kinda drifted away just after Coachella but then got sucked back in circa June 2005 when the theme weeks were going.

I really haven't left since.

Man I remember when Tessa was on a mission to meet people....that shit was awesome!!!! I met gabe first and 5 minutes later I met Tessa....good fucking times......i think we all have to thank tessa for how close the ezboard coachella members are....what made those days special was not knowing anyone in person....dont get me wrong i love knowing being able to call greg a friend and not some guy that I talk to on the internet.....but it was cool wondering what hes like in real life.....also I can never get pissed at Ryan cos I used to think he was funny but a dick...now I know he is just a damn cool guy

Reminiscing about the old board seems to be bringing up a lot of good memories.
I first heard of Coachella in 2005. But I had no money, no way to get there and was still in high school.
In 2006 I wanted to go and I had money, but still, no way to get there and I was still in high school.
Luckily, this year I had money, I had a way to get there and exams were done before the festival. However, I woulda skipped my exams to go this year.
I went on this board simply to find out some more info about festival, do's and dont's, who to see, check for new additions, blah, blah, blah.
I am still on here because... I dont know. A lot of the old members seem to not like it as much as the old board. I still think this one is pretty funny.
