Theyre playing "Big Day Out" in Austrailia...
They're def. a possibility for Coachella. Im sure they'd do it if asked. They destroyed lollapalooza two years ago.

Have any of you heard the new record though? Its kinda not good. Didnt give me the same feeling as the first. Too arrogant.

I'd agree that the 2nd album is no where near as good as the first.
Saw them 4 times in '05 (coachella, lolla, twice in Denver including Red Rocks) - Good shows.
Saw them last fall for the new album in Denver and the crowd wasn't that into it. Must be tuff for them playing to such small audiences in the US (club tour, not festivals).
Anyway last time I saw them was wondering how they would perform some of the new tracks w/horns, etc.
There was one song with a trumpet solo or something (doberman?), and you can plainly hear the trumpet coming from the PA, but no trumpet player on the stage. There was guy behind one of the speaker stakes playing it off a laptop - very disappointing.

small tour that - hard to bring a whole horn section - it didn't bother me that much. The stuff from the new record goes off very well live.

yeah - it was sort of a budget tour - but at least try and rework the song, skip it or something
I don't think they needed an entire horn section - Tom or Serg should have played it.

I saw them once and really liked their live show. They're energetic and fun.

Yah, I saw that laptop guy here in Philly as well. I was not pleased.
Ah well, Mew had stolen the show as openers anyway. ;)

i really like doberman. if they actually did play that with horns, that would be sweet.
