i have a crappy navy federal one these days but im looking for another one to use just here and there and maybe grab some rewards...trustee board members, any advice?

it depends on what you're looking for. just overall points? airline miles? if airlines miles, do you consistently fly with the same airline?

I hate credit cards. I'm $5,000 in debt between the two...

I've got air miles on the one. I used to have a cash back deal going but found it wasn't really worth it. They're adding up ever so slowly. I switched because I saw my mom had 16,000 air miles and wanted to one up her. One of these days I will.

I have a Hilton Honors Amex that I use constantly; I run everything through it and then pay it off at the end of the month so I can earn free hotel rooms.

i love my credit cards...i haven't paid a lick of interest on any balances i've had for like 7 years now, thank you high credit score!

i have found the best way to get airline miles is to become an aadvantage member through american airlines. once you are a member you can earn miles when you eat out at certain restaurants. right now i am getting 10 miles per dollar spent when doing so. you can add up to 3 credit cards to earn miles with and they can be from any credit card company...they don't even have to be in your name. my dad spends about $2,000 a month on dining and about half those restaurants are in the reward network, so i steal all the miles for myself!
