I'm going to be in Seattle Oct 18-21 for the Interpol show and to hang out for a few days. I went up last year but only stayed for a day and a half and just did the tourist stuff.
Where do the locals recommend going? I want to shop for some clothes while I'm there, so I'm hoping to find some cool shops and boutiques. And of course I'll want to find some good music shops. What restaurants do you recommend? My friend is basically vegetarian, so some veggie-friendly places for her would be nice.
I'll be staying right near the Pike Place market so places within a 30 minute walk would be good. I'll have a rental car, though, so I can drive places if necessary. I stayed in the Queen Anne area last year so I remember a little about that area, but I want to check out Fremont and Pioneer Square too.
And what's this I've been reading about shootings and rising crime in parts of downtown? Is it really that bad?
Thanks

I'd mostly be looking for original design shirts. Vintage sweaters or jackets would be a good find too.

Youll want to hit up Broadway in Capitol Hill and the AVE in the U-District right by UW. Theres a Red Light in both areas that are really good for cool vintage clothes and Atlus clothing on Broadway is really good for that too. If you walk up and down both streets, youll find some good shops for sure.

Yeah, I remember there being way too many tasty choices to choose from at the Market.
Thanks for the clothing ideas.

wait. so. they have dry ice while you chillin at the space needle? so theoretically the dry ice could mix with the clouds/fog to create a "floating" sensation?

Where's the best place to park for the WaMu theatre? I'm going straight from the airport to the venue with no time to spare, so I can't be driving around looking for a parking spot.
