tommorow, 6,000 sub-Saharan Africans will die. and the day after that, and the day after that...
many of these AIDS victims are mothers and fathers of children, leaving a massive amount of orphans. many of these orphans end up roaming the streets become beggars, prostitutes, or soldiers the child-armies. In the Rakai district of Uganda, 75,000 children have been orphaned. Kenya alone has 350,000 AIDS orphans.
by the end of the year 2,000 10.4 million children will have lost their mothers or both parents to AIDS

Approximately 6500 Americans die per day. By the end of the year, about 2.5 million people in the US will have died in 2007 alone. My point being, citing aggregate numbers is meaningless unless put into context.
the AIDS epidemic in Africa is a horrible problem. solutions anyone?

Tom, i get what you're saying; but 6,000 die a day from AIDS alone. there could be thousands of other deaths from genocides, starvation, etc.

but that's not what your words say. or said, I mean.
The answer to the AIDS epidemic is obvious. Everyone should stop having sex everywhere in the world, unless they are married to the person they are having sex with. And marriage will be restricted to white people of the landed class. OK? that'll solve it.
edit, sorry, I meant heterosexual people of the landed class. i'm not a racist.

I bet starvation is getting even worse. Hopefully Obama will do something. THe IMF and World Bank should forgive the debts of these many starving and impoverished African countries. The leaders of Africa must treat the AIDS crisis seriously. The new head of South Africa, who is married, had unprotected sex with a woman who was HIV positive WITHOUT a condom. If he is the leader of a major Africans country, there is really something wrong.
