What do other people do with the various items associated with concert going? For instance: ticket stubs, wrist bands, set lists, picks, drumsticks, flyers, confetti, and other assorted debris. Right now, I have shoeboxes full of random things. Any ideas on what I should do with it?

leave them there and look at them every once in a while and get excited about the shows you saw and the upcoming shows.

I have a lot of old ticket stubs in a box. For this year I started taping them to line the insides of my kitchen cabinets but then I got lazy and started putting them in my wallet to tape up later and then I lost my wallet. But I'm discouraged about collecting ticket stubs anymore anyways because whenever you buy tickets for will call through non-ticketmaster places (which I do as often as I can) they just give you a little raffle ticket or just check your name off so you don't get a stub AT ALL. I put the free Fillmore posters on the inside of my kitchen cabinets also. I don't really collect flyers or wristbands.

I keep the stubs in an envelope and if I don't get a ticket for the show (which is most of the time now), I make sure to get a drinking wristband and then I write all the show details on the wristband at the end of the night, including who I went to the show with. Then I keep all the wristbands in a separate plastic bag. And I keep lanyards/passes in another baggie. Set lists I usually deface and write the band/venue/date on it, unless I get a band member to sign it and that way I'll remember. Drumsticks, I try to get the drummer to sign it. Right now I have drumsticks from the Frames, LCD Soundsystem, and Lucinda Williams up on my shelf and it took me about a month to remember one of them was from the Frames. I'm thinking I'll put a piece of masking tape around every handle and write what band it was from. I used to keep the flyers but not anymore. I still have a few pieces of confetti from the Lips' NYE show last year but for the most part I don't keep that shit either. Show posters I'll just stick up on my walls unless it's a special one to me and I'll get it framed. I'm running out of wall space, tho.

I have a huge cabinet. I file the whole shebang under M for memorabilia, then under subfolder S for stubs, D for drumsticks, P for posters. Then, there's a folder divider where I catalogue all the various items by year, alphabetically sorted within the month, so it's year->month->band. Then, I stick the entire cabinet in a bigger cabinet under C for cabinet.

i put a lot of my favorite concert memorabilia up on my music wall. i had the good fortune to work in the biz for many years for some pretty big names and have some cool pictures/posters/etc. framed. i, like tessalasset, have an envelope filled with old wristbands/laminates going pretty much back to the mid 90's when i started working for a local promoter. i am still fortunate to have those connections and am still adding to my collection every year. i always wrote the date of the show and lineup on the backs of them and pull them out every once in awhile to remember the good times. my favorite items, of course, are my coachella wristbands. i have been on the lookout for a cool mannequin style hand and forearm to place them on and then mount on my wall. for now they are hanging off of a frame holding a picture of me and my friend/former boss in the biz.

usually they are in a little toy safe that I got when I was a kid in chronological order. You can't really tell that there are over 300 tickets in that pile.

All of mine are in chronological order in a shoebox. For shows that I just get a stub or a wristband or whatever, I will tape the stub or wristband to a piece of white paper and write show details on it in permanent marker.

I am aware, that is why I wrote, "usually they are in a little toy safe that I got when I was a kid in chronological order". Obviously for the picture, they are not in the safe. it's quite simple to figure out

Are you guys for serious? I just throw mine in a box. The fact that the date is on it is, at least for me, an indicator of the general time frame that an event would occur on....

The point some people were making is that not all shows are an official ticket or whatever. Sometimes its just one of those little raffle tickets. Or you get a comp'd ticket. Or just a wristband. Etc.

That's a good idea. I'm usually so tired when I get home that I just throw everything in a box and go to sleep.

assorted tickets are up on bulliten boards both in LA and in my parent's house (shows from high school/summer).

set lists are on my wall.

i have a flower from the bright eyes show at the walt disney hall in a vase at my parent's house. i also have a piece of nate walcott's trumpet from that show turned into a necklace. it's pretty cool looking.

Tickets for each year are put into an envelope and just stored.(this year is still in my wallet and wont be emptied until Jan 1st) Various things like setlists(a s**tload of those I have) and wristbands are in a few shoeboxes. Drum sticks and other things are in other places. Chris Martins guitar is under my bed.

I throw mine in the bin on the way out the door. I have enough clutter in my life, nevermind ticket stubs.

I find the odd one used as bookmarks still. It's a good indication of when I last picked up that book. I throw those out when I finish the book.

I keep mine but I have no thorough storage method. There are a few distinct piles. I (not so) recently found a Ticketmaster envelope with about 25 ticket stubs from the mid 90s. It was awesome.

I find the odd one used as bookmarks still. It's a good indication of when I last picked up that book. I throw those out when I finish the book.

When I start a new book I will use the most recent stub from a show - or, failing that, stub from a play or movie - for the specific purpose of knowing when I started. Also because as I read I can remember, oooh, that show was good.

Setlists generally find their way to a separate storage bin though a few have gotten left with the record I bought at the show or something.

I also tend to keep the lottery ticket type things but don't label them or anything. I mean, they say "Keep This Ticket." I do as I am told.

i have this box someone gave me for a secret santa on an old board. the thing was covered in Hail To the Thief stickers and when I got it had a bunch of radiohead bootlegs and stickers and what not. Tickets go in there. Some of them are definitely fading though

I have all my tickets in an envelope. they were chronological until I dropped the thing and they fell out of order.

I've been thinking about getting some kind of photo album/scrap book to put them in, along with some notes about the show -- anything ranging from brief memories to setlists to full blown reviews. it'd be a pretty cool concert diary.

I refinished the top of my bar where the ticket stubs are under clear glass for viewing. I always get t-shirts at concerts, but don't wear them so I've reconstructed them into pillows for my couch.

My 90's stubs are rubberbanded in chronological order in this weird little wicker box. My 00's stubs are randomly all over the place, some in my wallet, some who knows where.

The old 90's stubs are in a photo album somewhere. My more recent ones are collected in little stashes in random drawers and boxes.

I've been collecting t-shirts which I eventually plan to put on a wall behind plastic or something... as soon as I've got a spare room. Yeah, it'll probably look like an outdated Hot Topic.

Love Brokendoll's bar idea.

Both. I had afew pillows that just didn't fit into my scheme of things so I covered them. I still had T-shirts left so off came the arm parts and the neck part, and with some pillow stuffing, I then sewed them using the front and backs of shirts for the front and back of pillow.I figured this way, I get to relive those concerts more than I would if I left the shirts as they were. (I always end up with huge sized concert shirts and I was tired of sleeping in them.

what i want tygerlady to do with my concert t's is cut out the back, leaving the front in tack ... then sew the front and the back on a homemade quilt or maybe just a cool blanket .. i guess you would get about three t's front and back on a blanket ... you could also use hoodies for a heavier comfoter sp like thing ... i think that might be cool ... i guess i have a few hundred t's some totally trashy or lame, but a bunch of cool ones ... canx**
