Coachella does need more rap and Snoop was a hit when I saw him at Lolla.

Michael Eavis drops more hints for 2008 bash

Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis has dropped more hints about who will headline this year's festival.

Yesterday (January 10) the festival boss said he had booked a "black American headliner, who’s absolutely terrific", kicking off speculation that Kanye West was the man in question.

However speaking to XFM South Wales Eavis has now revealed that the artists is from New York, making Jay-Z the favourite. Alicia Keys is also a possibility.

Glastonbury Festival takes place in Somerset from June 27-29.

Fans must register to stand a chance of buying tickets on Glastonburyfestivals.co.uk or by picking up a form from camping shop Millets.

Tickets go on sale on April 6.

I saw snoop last year he's fun he did more of his dre-tupac era but he was close to 2 hours late and bill grahm civic center was so hot boxed the smoke detectors kept going off...if he pulled that late biz it would be like that 45 minute rediculous wait for madonna in 06

Isn't Snoop more likely to do Street Scene?

paganman7
01-10-2008, 08:31 AM
He can do both. In 2006, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Tool both played Coachella in April and Street Scene in August.

I also think Snoop Dogg was at Street Scene in 2006, but I can't remember.

i think snoop or jay-z would both be pretty fun. jay-z doing half his set unplugged with the roots band would be off the chain.

The best thing about seeing snoop is you know three our four other rappers are gonna show up. Like all of the sudden Warren G and Too Short could pop out and it would be Up in Smoke all over again.

But you KNOW they will be too stoned to do anything other then chat with the crowd and pull a girl on stage....

Snoop was excellent. He had the entire Greek theater bouncing. Ice Cube was great as well, but Snoop blew the Chili Peppers out of the fucking water.

Dr.Dre/Snoop would be fucking terrific at Coachella.

If I get the chance to finally sing "I just wanna fuuuuuuck you/no touching 'n rubbing girl you got a husband who looooves you" in a crowd of thousands of stoned hipsters, I would be as jolly as a pig in shit

Dre and Snoop and the rest of their friends have like four hours worth of solid gold AAA+ hits. I think ANYBODY could get down to their set.

Could Dre be a possibilaty isnt his album coming out this summer. Id prefer that over snoop at least dre takes time with his records instead of one a year.

Trick Loves The Kids

detox will probably come out in 2032 but it's not like an artist like that needs to be supporting an album. i'm not a HUGE fan of dre's latest work but again he could do like a two hour set playing hit after hit and nobody would mind.

doesn't anyone have standards anymore?? I loved Snoop circa 1993......but he is such a BS pop culture icon nowadays....maybe he could do a live rendition of his reality show?? Snoop......hasn't been good for over a decade now......and if you've seen good hip hop live, you KNOW Snoop sucks!

There, I said it.

as soon as i saw snoop do a song with justin timberlake i knew it was all over. the guys been a sell out from the start, trying to get the best record deal he can. oh and all of that shit he did with the neptunes = gay.

his only good shit was waaaaay back and its 2008 now so he'd be a shitty addition

scoop49er
02-06-2008, 07:34 AM
he actually puts on a good live show but yeah, no reason to buy any of his new shit.

But he wouldn't fit in for Coachella.

I saw Snoop at a pretty small nightclub here a couple years ago, it was pretty good. I think he was kinda late and all, but he did play some classic songs.

but on topic

i'd be down for a dre/snoop set...as long it was all stuff from the chronic/doggystyle

Will Street Scene ever happen again? I heard last year was such a bomb at Coors Amphitheatre that it will not be resurrected
