march 15th boys noize is going to be at fat city in san francisco. it seems he wouldnt come over for JUST sf so probably more dates will be added which means, unless he skips LA, probably no Boys Noize for Coachella..sucks

goldenvoice is very strict about that. thats why chromeo didnt add a 2nd la show. if anyone plays in la around march you can count them out for coachella.

Yooz incorrect marshon. Many of the acts playing @ Coachella will play all over LA and so cal before and after Coachella. GV does sign some bands to exclusive contracts, but usually only the biggies.

To name all the DJ/electronic and hip hop acts that have done it would take all day. Ben Harper has, Thievery Corp, Dj Shadow, QOTSA, Boozoo Bajou... really the list goes on and on. Not secret shows or GV events. Like I said. GV signs exclusive contracts w/ SOME of the artists. Usually the larger name acts have a big draw.

Oh, and I believe Soulwax and Justice both played in Hollywood the day after their Coachella shows last year. So it can be done.

I don't see anything on the web to indicate Boys Noize is playing S.F. in March.

On a related note, Boyz Noize took his tour schedule down off his myspace. This could be a good sign... OR he's taking some time off. On his myspace he said he was planning to take 6 weeks off. That said, he seems to be pretty studious in posting show dates. I'm probably reading too much into this... but here's hoping...
