Our friends in the US should make a note in their diaries, so that they don't miss the very popular NBC TV programme, Saturday Night Live. Scheduled to appear on the February 2nd show is Roger Waters, due to perform - certainly with Snowy White, possibly with his full band. Exact details of what they are to perform haven't been confirmed yet. However, current rumours are that with the current writers' strike in the US, Roger will be performing the whole of Dark Side Of The Moon!
The show airs at 11:30pm EST/10:30pm Central, but check local listings for when it airs in your area. Our thanks to Renate from the Snowy White fan club for the initial info.

Gah... SNL? You would think it would be live on HBO or something. Why would he do DSOTM in the little SNL studio?..Sounds very underwhelming. I hope this isn't true because it would indeed undercut Coachella.

it would only undercut coachella if you are actually in the studio with tons of speakers and thousands of people sitting with you under a desert moon
I mean SNL might be able to pull that off, I hear they have a pretty neat budget

He's already been touring DSOTM in it's entirety for two years now. That's the undercut right there. It makes the Coachella headliner a bit disappointing because it isn't very special at all.

Does Roger Waters know that SNL hasn't had a new episode for weeks (months?) due to the writer's strike? Last I knew, that was still going on and it doesn't look like there will be an end to it by the time this show is supposed to go on...
EDIT: I failed to read the last part about the rumors regarding playing DSOTM in its entireity due to the strike. I still find it odd they would even do the show like that, though.

Yeah, it it were a one-off that hadn't been attempted int he states before, that would be a pig of a different color. I wanna see (hear) it, but at this point it's a smidge stale. Y'know, we've all come to expect GV to at least attempt something fresh for the event. Within that context, I fully believe that they will throw some bucks into revising the production to offer that edge. ...at least double up on the props and lights, y'know?

Yeah, i think for both Kraftwerk & Roger Waters (& Justice), there's gonna be some amazing visuals, etc.
