Xiu Xiu:
Better than their last. In fact, I think it's probably their best album yet. All live drums which works incredible (which is understandable considering how amazing Chester was as an addition on the last tour). Looking forward to catching them live, they are playing tiny venues.

Destroyer:
I need more time with it. Definitely not as good as "Rubies." In fact there are a couple songs that are a little too straight forward, which is unusual for him.

Anyone else checked them out yet?

I have both and have only listened to Destroyer. I like it almost as much as "Rubies", but not as much as "Your Blues". I dont think he will ever be able to top "Your Blues".

I love "Your Blues" but "Rubies" is so perfectly self-referential. It's hard for me to pick which one I like more, but I'm pretty sure it's "Rubies."

I didn't bother to download the Xiu Xiu.

Trouble in Dreams isn't great. I need to give it more listens but it just came at a bad time because it pales next to Real Emotional Trash and Alopecia so I need to wait for a dryer period to give it full consideration.

This post is useless. I'm tired.

I've been alternating between the new Xiu Xiu (if you don't like him this probably won't convert you) and Alopecia. They switch off really well.

I'm embarrassed to say I haven't listened to the new Malkmus yet. I'm on it.
