Yeah, I read the translation of je veux te voir and wasn’t that impressed. Love the beats, don’t care much for the lyrics. Welcome to wonderful world of hip hop.

But so what? Not everybody has to be Fugazi. When you think about it, most of the lyrics on License to Ill were pretty juvenile and stupid. Hell, most of what Ad-Rock writes these days is still pretty weak (I’m on the L and I’m feeling swell?) but License to Ill still remains one of the all time great party albums.

More so than any other act right now, I think it’s great that a French chick with broken English can blow up online and generate a fan base that would get her an American gig like this. Let’s here it for living in the future.
