I think she meant "I will see you at the Sahara tent later this evening when Kraftwerk plays there, because I am looking forward to seeing them play and I recommend - make that EXPECT- that you, our fans, check them out, as our musical tastes probably coincide more often than not."

Now that the obvious is out of the way, has anyone ever thought about what Radiohead must of thought about her saying that? It's not a secret that Radiohead is on the record as saying The Pixies were a huge influence for them. I always found it so funny that Kim announced that she was going to skip Radiohead and go see Kraftwerk instead.

Kraftwerk started after Radiohead. Or, towards the end of their set at least. So, you know, served.

i'd do the same (skip radiohead for kraftwerk) if they were playing at the same time.

Bah, Real Coachella fans have all the lineups memorized, even for years they didn't go.

Having or not having previous Coachella lineups memorized has very little to do with whether or not a fully functional human being should be reasonably expected to take 5 minutes to research non-precognitive explanations for video taped statements.

What I want to know is what he/she meant by "...3 years later see them again..."
Again?
Last I heard Kim only recorded with the Breeders, she didn't tour with them.

while I'm watching the Breeders, I'm thinking of yelling a Pixies song or two at Kim.
Such as Debaser or Wave of Mutilation.
And I'm going to look for Kim during Kraftwerk

in 04 Death Cab also mentioned they were looking forward to Kraftwerk. and look, they'll be there again this year.

I don't believe that kim is psychic in this instance but I do believe that she has supernatural powers that haven't been fully revealed as of yet

i am pretty sure she is sarcastic enough to be like "see you at the kraftwerk tent!!!" at the end of the breeders set...

ah yes the sarcasm was lost on some. Please note the word AGAIN in my original post, yep...fully aware they were on that lineup. It was a long day I was in certification classes all week and I got tired of the Coachella lineup sucks posts. Looking forward to both band though. Please resume your important posts.

this time she'll probably says something about 'see you all at the tent' if they go on right before Jack Johnson...

I don't understand how any of these statements relate to each other or what the hell you're talking about, but I assure you The Breeders have toured. Multiple times.

Ummm...as long as you're intent on being a dick, maybe try "Gigantic" or "Into The White", since she actually sang those songs. Perhaps you could turn a negative (yelling random shit) into a positive (any time you can hear "Into The White" live is a good thing.)

You are forgiven...your intentions were pure.
However, the responses in this thread are pushing 80%-85% stupidity. We're going to have to get the EPA in here to clean up this mess.
Go in the corner and think about what you've done for a few minutes.

Believe me, thats not my plan.
And I didn't think about that until now.
Or I can yell "In Heaven"
Then they launch into "Cannonball"

Shit, were you being sarcastic too? I think my irony detector is broken.
What if all these stupid posts were ironic, and I'm the ONLY douchebag?
"In Heaven" would be sweet. Sounds so much better with Kim than B.F..

speaking of her kraftwerk remark, would anyone else rather have had them NOT include it in the dvd? if they had followed it immediately by a video of kraftwerk it would have been fine, but as it is it doesn't make sense to anyone that wasn't there.
even to those who were there... I still cringe that she calls it the "kraftwerk tent". let's call it the "daft punk" tent for 2006. and the "underworld tent" for 2003, and the "fatboy slim tent" for this year. um... no. c'mon kim, one of the biggest shows in your life, get it right. and now it's on record, so we may never forget.
end rant.
(ok I'm really critical. so sue me.)

I was serious about Debaser and Wave Of Mutilation, then I said to myself, B.F. sings those songs...not Kim.
But I am serious about "In Heaven" and then playing "Cannonball"

That was a pretty pathetic rant. If I could sue you for being a jackass, I would. I wasn't there and it made perfect sense to me. I believe that her point was to specify that she would be going to see Kraftwerk...who were playing in a tent. She wanted it to be known that she respects Kraftwerk and recommends that others see them as well. If she had said, "See you in the Sahara tent", her intended message would have been lost, but at least you wouldn't have cringed.

yes her point was still clear. the way she phrases it bothered me. that's all I was saying. and now I will never forget it because it's on the dvd. she could have simply dropped the word 'tent' and I would have been much happier.
