I haven't really heard about it...

But it's a project with Dan The Automator (obsiously...) he has worked on since Fantômas stopped touring.

It should sound R&B (wtf??) and electro

Sounds like more patton mashups. I like patton but his ADHD doesn't seem to bring whole lot of great music. Just some alright music every now and again. I dug some of the peeping tom stuff.

I saw the Peeping Tom show at the Great American Music Hall in SF and it was pretty decent, I'm not a huge fan or anything, I just thought that it was one of those just hafta go to kinda things.

Yes, but not everything he does sound good. (don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of that guy)

im interested in this. I like Mr. Bungle a lot, Peeping TOm was so much fun at Coachella last year and Loveage was an amazing album. He should do another loveage project

I'm not a big Peeping Tom fan but I love most of Mike Patton's other projects. This one sounds interesting.

I think it's going to sound like a more uptempo Lovage w/more funk elements.. The only description I've seen so far is "weird" R&B.

Should be cool..

Ya i guess according to wiki the album (listed under dan the automator under Album collaborations) isn't out until 2009...

2009 - Crudo (upcoming album by Patton with Dan the Automator, strange and bizarre R n' B)

Off the Ipecac website

Also wanted to let you know that there is a new Patton project that is about to show it's face. Yeah, another one. Seems that Mike and Dan the Automator have been cooking up some music and after a little marinating are about to reveal........ CRUDO. Not much is known about Crudo, but we know this, they will be playing the super cool music festival, Sasquatch, at the end of May in the state of Washingtonat the Gorge.

FUCK YES. So Sasquatch will be thier first performance ever? Dear Lord I am excited. I am expecting it to sound somewhat like Peeping Tom... but then again, it is Mike Patton. Who knows.

My guess is they probably asked Mike Patton if he wanted to play there, with any project he wanted. He should have said Faith No More. No, Im getting greedy. I'm just stoked to see Patton on the line up.

Here's an interview with Mike and Dan from last year that just got posted today: http://www.self-titledmag.com/2008/02/27/qa-with-crudo-interview-by-andrew-parks/#more-54

Hahaha, that is an excellent interview. Thanks for that. One of my favorite parts...

It’s been a while since you two did a theme record together, like Lovage. So if you had to do one tomorrow, what would it be?

Dan Nakamura: It could be heavy metal for all we know. I want grunge to come back.

Mike Patton: 2010 grunge––is that what we’re on?

RE: CRUDO
Ya'll know that this is gonna be sick... Anything that Patton touches is gold, and Automator is arguable the "illest", most versatile producer out there, who by the way, has been getting a little overlooked in this posting. Lovage, Dr. Octagon, Deltron - Hello?! But Patton is definitely the man. Everyone heard Mondo Cane? 60 piece orchestra backing Patton - they did like 6 shows in Europe last summer. Ridiculous. Check it on YouTube. And "The Perfect Place" soundtrack/score he did was brilliant.

I can't believe I just heard about this today.

By the way, the first show as far as I know is at the Great American Music Hall in SF on May 22nd. Maybe they will pop up at Coahella?!

Everyone look for me, Guido Corleone AKA Amore One of the Luminaries, at Coachella repping Bell Rang Records. I'm gonna have albums, giveaways, contraband and other Coachella exclusives on me, so look for the one man army stampeding through the Polo Grounds. Coachella Valley, 7 years strong.

"Coachella Valley, Where the fuck you at?!"

sorry man, but I hate the name Guido Corleone so much I will specifically not be looking for you

Don't be sorry. It's all love. Hate the hate. You're down with Patton and Automator, right, so we got something in common...
