If you go to NIN.com it says "The new Nine Inch Nails record is available RIGHT NOW" and it's titled ghosts i - iv.
Totally unexpected. To me anyways. It's a 36 track instrumental album. You can download the first 9 tracks for free, you can download the whole thing for $5, or for $10 you can order the hard disc which will arrive to you by.... that's right... APRIL.
Does anyone else think this could possibly spark a last minute NIN addition to the line up? I'd be totally up for it. I'm fine with the current lineup (besides Jack Johnson of course) so I'm not complaining or being overly wishful. Just wondering what the rest of you think. I believe there was a thread made about this in the music lounge but I figured it would be a bit gossip/wish list worthy.
BTW if you want to hear the 9 tracks that are available right now you can hear them at www.ainr.com (artists in residence)

Trent studied Radiohead's plan of action for In Rainbows and has managed to make it even better. I'm very excited for this.

Radiohead's servers went to shit when that first broke, too. It's a LOT better than it was 3 hours ago. My download is going at over 300 KB/sec, a far cry from pages taking 10+ minutes to load earlier.
*edit - OF COURSE, i say that and then the download unexpectedly fails and wont' let me back in to try again.
okay this has some kinks in it.

If you actually bothered to read the full interview that was taken from, he was basically talking stream of consciousness style on things that could make the music industry better. He tossed out that idea and 4 seconds later took it back saying it basically wouldn't work. But that didn't stop him from grabbing headlines with a portion of his speech and basically being misquoted/misinterpreted.
Trent telling people in Australia to steal his music because it's overpriced:

Doens't sound like a man who supports throwing out any kind of additional money or tax on music.

I'm listening to the first 9 tracks right now, and i'm planning on buying the $10 one when I get home from school. The music is awesome, it's kind of calming but aggressive at the same time.

He's as mad about that misquote as anyone. Please don't reprint it.

okay. i went and read the interview, and i stand corrected. the way the article i read portrayed the situation seemed very pretentious, but it indeed misguided his intention.
