Hi Peoples!

So we are doing the RV thang this year, and are making arrangements at an RV park. We will be driving the RV to the polo fileds tho as it is our only transportation.

Do any of you know whetehr or not there is special parking or requirements for RVs?

Thank you!!! :o) ekb*

They had a special parking lot for RV's last year. Hopefully they'll have better RV information this year.

Looking for the same info folks ! It's usually posted in the frequently asked questions area every year but alas I dont see anything about Rv parking or rv parking lot area this year.I'm plannig on driving over with me pals in an rv and camping out at lake cahuilla over night and it looks like well be driving into the festival in the rv.Just dont want to end up turned away when I get there because there is nowhere to park...the rv that is :)

Parking was a friggan MESS last year overall. We also took an RV. One night we couldn't get out of the parking lot for hours because the RV was too big to make it around some corners where the parking rows were so sloppy. We had to park and wait for a clear path. I hope they have more RV information in general but please, get the parking mess cleaned up.

I got an RV last year... GOD they make you park SO FUCKING FAR AWAY from the venue!!! And it took hours to get out of the parking lot. If it wasn't for all the booze and weed I would have lost my sanity! This year, it's all about camping on sight! No line , No traffic, no problem.

PS: DO NOT USE THE SHITTER IN THE RV!!!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!

They didn't allow RVs larger than 25ft in the regular parking lot last year.
Still waiting for better info on this year's RV parking lot.

Thanks for the information everyone....I really hope they give out some concrete information because I am going to be really upset if they turn us away in our RV!

The one other year that we took an RV we were able to get a spot at the State Fairgrounds (Date Palace) adn that is where a lot of the food workers for the festival were staying. There was a free shuttle bus to the polo fields and it worked out like a dream! No one at Date Palace was able to form complete sentences on the phone much less give me any assurances about what would be available like that this year. Le sigh man. So annoying to have to take chances because of lack of info! :o(

Anyway I will let you guys know of anything I find out! xoxo ekb*

If it's that hard to get out of the parking lot why not sleep for a few hours and then drive out. You have a bed on wheels. Do that or wait till they kick you out of the parking lot.

Thanks my north american friend but what were trying to figure out here is not weather or not we can spend the night in an Rv at the festival grounds but rather if we will be permitted to enter the event and park just like any other vehicle during the show.Parking over night is not permitted.Rules about parking an rv for the event only are kinda sketchy. :)

Yea I know dude. I was more suggesting it as a way to wait out the traffic if they do let you take it in. I don't know anything more than you about getting it in there. I know your not allowed to stay overnight.

Oh yeah we usually do that shit every year since the very first Coachella in 99! waiting to get out is a bitch but we make it worthwhile partying it up or resting after a long day in the rv till traffic dies down! It would just suck if me and me pals spent money on renting an rv as our only mode of transportation and then not be able to get it in is all.Good looking out though homie! Have a great time at the show! Rv or no rv we'll be there! :)

I don't see why not?
I've seen lots of cars parked over night.
Some of those cars have had people sleeping in them.
Your RV which is used for transportation (like a car) should fall into the same category.
If someone there has a problem and asks you to move, chances are that you wont have to worry about traffic.
Drive on in and just don't advertise to everyone that you'll be sleeping in your chosen mode of transportation.
