i'd rather not get raped for $2 a bottle when it's 100 degrees outside.

has anyone snuck water in? is it at all feasible?

$2 is hardly rape. Look at the prices of bottles of water at other music festivals...

If you have a unopen bottle of water you can bring it into the festival.

Bottled water costs like a dollar and change at a supermarket. So charging twice that much is rape? Dont forget there is the recycling thing, turn in 10 empty bottles get a bottle of water. Its not that hard to find lying on the ground. Also, CAMPER ENTRANCE. And you must be a cheap ass for thinking this is bad. As Rage Patton mentioned, other music festivals charge like 4 bucks a bottle, this is the one thing over the last 9 years that has not changed in price, yet you want to be an ungrateful lil s&*t for it.

The price really is not so bad, but yeah you can get water in. Better to use that opportunity to bring in some vodka and buy the water.

It actually depends on your security guard. Most of the time they are reasonable and don't care if you bring water in. But there are the guards that won't let you take anything in.

And yeah, I do agree that its kind of shitty that the rules say you can't bring your own water in. Especially if you're like me and drink a lot of water to begin with, and require more in the heat. Especially if you consider you can buy a 24 pack for about $7 at Costco or someplace like that.

And are they definitely doing the recycle thing again this year? That was a good idea.

Why the fuck would you be concerned about sneaking water in?

Last year they said the same thing, that you could bring in unopened bottles it didn't work though! Look at how much woodstock charged for water, 2 bucks is cheap and on sunday you will see all the people that ran out of money collecting 10 empty bottles for one new one.

Pretty easy to sneak in just about anything....last year I snuck in a bottle of water filled with vodka by wrapping it in a sheet and stuffing it at the bottom of my backpack

When it's as hot as it is you won't care at all about $2 for a bottle of water. It will be the best $2 you've ever spent.

you know, this really fucking pisses me off about goldenvoice. we are supposed to pay TWO DOLLARS every single time we need water, which we would die without in the middle of a desert? you would think that they are already earning enough money by raping people with the ticket prices and camping, not to mention all the extra money people are already spending on getting there. i'm sorry, this is the one thing that totally seems to go against what coachella stands for. let's start a petition... those greedy bastards.

uhm it's not that serious....about 20 bucks is more than enough to survive each day. Also the vendors need to make money.

JClemy

What does Coachella stand for? Cause I always thought that from GV's perspective it meant that they make money.

pretty much it is a corporation and a simple definition is that people form together to make a shitload of money!

if you dont want to spend the $2, then spend 45 seconds working for it by picking up 8 or 10 empty bottles and turn them in for a nice, cold bottle...

lazy bastards.

whether or not you believe $2 is a lot for water, i'm kind of poor, so it is for me.

but thanks for the USEFUL advice.

um... choke on a cock, basically. i'm 17, i don't have any money. and neither your argument about the prices of water at supermarkets or the prices at other music festivals hold any weight, because a gallon of water is a quarter, and comparative pricing is irrelevant to the objective price of one event.

did i say choke on a cock yet? please do.

Hey I got an idea. Why don't you just skip the show you little dick. $2 for water isn't a bad price. Maybe you should just collect bottles other people drop. You could do that too.

Maybe they should just give everything to you for free? Maybe you should get a free ticket too because your a 17 year old dickbag who has no money. This isn't charity.

Whether or not you think $2 is a bad price, it is for me. I already paid $310 total, i don't see why wanting to bring my own water makes me cheap.

Then don't drink it. Just go without water. You're being a jerk about it dude. Plan on bringing some money for water. You won't be able to sneak in the amount of water that you'll need.

how am i being a jerk? if you are referencing my use of language, then i only responded with it, i didn't initiate.

how did the 'sneaking in alcohol' threads not get this much flak?

whatever tho, if you want be to ridiculous and call me out for using common sense, be my guest.

Because $7 for shitty beer that won't do much is kind of overpriced, so bringing in your own supplies makes sense. And guess what? I'm pretty fucking poor too, but $2 is incredibly reasonable for water. I was able to bring some in last year, but even if I hadn't been able to the recycling program really mitigates how much you have to spend. Apart from that, just spend the $2.

How much water do you actually think you can carry?

get one of these then (http://www.thebeerbelly.com/)

The sneaking in Alchohol thread doesn't get flak because alchohol is a lot more expensive than $2 and not something that you need to have to survive. You need the water.

I don't have a limitless supply of money either. I doubt any of us on the board do. You live really close to the venue too dude. I'm going all the way from Canada dude. Which is also not cheap.

Without sounding like a fucktard and all, but didn't they have big water standpipe areas where you could fill up your empty bottles with water, so if your that against the $2 for a fresh bottle you could just go and fill up from the tap for free..... i'm sure i remember this last year!

so what you're saying is that it's okay to complain about stuff that you DON'T need, but it's NOT okay to complain about stuff that you DO need.

i quit this thread.

i quit it one thousand times.

No thats not it. We're saying that because you need the water you just suck it up. You don't need beer so it's harder to justify paying for it. You're only 17 you should understand the ins and outs of getting beer. You can get water anytime you want but you need help getting beer. Think about it that way.

Bottled water costs like a dollar and change at a supermarket.

To be fair, I bought a CASE of water at Sam's Club for $3.50.

But, I don't mind the $2. Last year, I payed for a few, got a few free ones, bought a couple Gatorades and a couple Pepsis after dark for a pick-me-up. I only spent about half my budget. Maybe if I was dancing from noon to midnight, I would have needed more water, but I tend to conserve energy until dusk.
