I want to see them.
The time is coming and I am so excited.
I searched for another thread about Mum, but found none.
I am a dick and can't tell Amiina and Mum apart, but I like them both.
I am tired of reading all the April Fools threads and bullshit threads.
Here's some youtube videos of Mum that won't give them any justice.
Shit, I said Justice! Is this a Justice thread now?

QUESTION: IN THIS NEW CONCOCTION OF MUM, WILL THERE BE ANY FEMALE VOCALS?
I love the old mum albums, but i know the chicks in the band are no longer there. will they play samples of their voices or did they get new girls...or are all my fave songs from those days not being played? Should i waste my time?

If you like Sigur Ros, you will like their backing band, Mum.
backing band?? the band that plays with sigur ros is called amiina.. mum has nothing to do with sigur ros besides the fact they are both from iceland and write pretty music.
edit..

I'm looking forward to seeing mum for the first time, I've been listening to their peel sessions as of late to get me excited, it should be a nice change of pace compared to most of the other bands I'll be seeing at 'chella..

TOTALLY MY BAD!!
You are not a dick at all. I have had a trippy week and dropped the proverbial Icelandic band ball in a big way. I get the two of them confused. I was listening to Amiina the other day on slightly mind altering drugs and I thought I was listening to Mum. And then I got them totally bass-ackwards today.
So, the moral of the story is...
Don't do drugs and listen to Icelandic bands and then post about them on message boards with smart people around.
If anything, I am a dick.

And a serious thanks for not flaming me. People get hurt around here for posting wrong information. I think I'll go edit.

Love this band but I'm guessing that they will be a part of some terrible conflict. I really want to hear some stuff from Finally We Are No One.

Unless mum conflicts with Swell Season, I will be watching them no matter what. Even over Aphex Twin.

Did they mostly or entirely play from Go Go Smear The Poison Ivy? Or was older material played as well?

Kria Brekkan (the one that left the band) might be at Coachella because she's married to Avey Tare of Animal Collective.
maybe she'll perform with them. but that's pure speculation

Eh, who cares to hash deets. They are an ephemeral wonder, and those who miss it will have much less to leave with. An inobvoius choice to see, but a central part of the lineup that nobody recognizes. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR.

I love Coachella for giving us Múm.
It's thoughtful, quality bookings like this one that keep me buying tickets each year before even knowing the lineup. Forgetting the headliners,..Holy Shit!! I'm about to see Múm, Goldfrapp, Carbon/Silicon, Redd Kross, Steven Malkmus, Swervedriver, Modeselektor, Pendulum...and on and on.

Mum's songs are like ripped handkerchiefs that have the ability to morph into a beautiful canvas of art and then back.

mum is one of those few sets where us music nerds might get to be next to alone with such a fantastic act.
I love coachella so so so so much. I love being able to get right up close to people who usually pack venues to the gills.
seeing cut chemist at arms' length last year was downright surreal for me.
I really do heart mum at the moment.
mum, kush, and sunlight and fresh air streaming through my window are a beautiful combination right now.
just felt like sharing.

I prematurely clicked on this thread because I thought it said "Hum".
My bathing suit area got tingly at the thought of this awesome band somehow being at Coachella.
I was wrong.
True story.
