Jools knows his stuff, and he's very well respected. His show is a platform for acts that are about to be huge - whether it makes them or just spots them is up for debate. Older, more respected acts tend to jump at the offer too, and they usually break out something a bit special for the occasion; Then again, sometimes, a band never tops their Jools moment. But one way or the other, it's a big deal to make it as far as Jools Holland.

The man himself bugs the crap out of me, for reasons I've never quite been able to pin down, but I rarely miss the show. There's been a lot of really terrific performances on it, and BBC aren't too fussy about taking them off Youtube.

Got a question I'd like to throw out there. I just got a new computer (beautiful mac book pro) and was interested in downloading some DJ mixes. I didn't download things on my old computer for months.

A few weeks ago someone posted a soulwax mix from pete tong's BBC1 show that i thought was fantastic. is there a good website for general DJ mixes like that? Even a collection of those Pete Tong shows would be great.
