So I've been wondering how best to keep my tent weighted to the ground, for wind or whatever. My thought was to bring some free weights I have, but I doubt I'd get in with those (weapons or whatever). Any suggestions that doesn't involve me leaving shit I'd rather keep inside the tent?

Titanium tent stakes are always the best way to go. I hear the platinum ones are even better tho.

would they really take free weights away? I was planning on using some for my canopy.

Ideally NO, but all it takes is the right person to get a bug up their ass about something.

what usually does not come w/ the tent is a hammer. i had to use my shoe last year. :(

If you try to hold down a canopy when it's windy, it will snap... don't know how many of those my fam has broken

1. Build your tent
2. Step inside your tent
3. Have one of your buddies drop a 45 pound plate on top of said tent

That should keep it down.
