Basshunter --> Bob Sinclar --> Moby or Jamiroquai
that would be an amazing day in the Sahara tent if it happened next year.

Jamiroquai would be a dream come true for me, but I wouldn't mind them on the main stage right before a headliner either.

i have only seen like a couple pics of it, but have heard of it...

As a person who saw them twice in NYC and once in Chicago the last time they toured the U.S. in late 2005, I TOTALLY DISAGREE WITH THIS STATEMENT. These guys (and yes it's them, not him) are road warriors. They put on a greta show, including the lead singer JK.
What are basing your info on Glass Prison?
But I maintain that Jamiroquai in the dance tent isn't right, put them on the main stage right befoire a headliner, and they'll win over a lot of people.

I dont find the robot helmets gimmiky, I dont give a shit if they wear them or not, and I dont want 2 french guys in a fucking a pyramid, I dont want the fucking pyramid at all. What I want is a fucking rare DJ performance from Daft Punk. 2 stinky frenchman throwing down the nastiest tracks on wax (yes on wax!) they can muster. I never said anything about it being original, and its not like what they did w/ the pyramid is original (music wise) people have been performing like that for a long fucking time. If you dont want to hear a one off dj set by Daft Punk, then good for you. Its all their live show really is anyway. At least this way there might just be some spontenaity (sic) and not just the same fucking set that you have already heard a million fucking times. I wanna know what tunes DP would select, who is on their disco list, how adept are they at mixing those tracks, etc etc. They can wear the fucking helmets if they want. I would like to see what theve really fucking got instead of them hiding behind a moster light show and costumes. Come correct Daft...
*edit: I think I need to clarify that I am no way predicting or expecting this, I just think it would be fucking good.

they are the most inspired, creative electronic act of the last decade.
they are far better than daft punk.

Thats Liam Howlett, he's....for lack of a more appropriate analogy...the Trent Reznor of The Prodigy. The guy you're talking about is Keith Flint who is a part of the band, but like MC Maxim, was not a part of the production on their last album (Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned).

shpongle, god damnit.
and I stick by what I said about them being the best of the last ten years.
they really truly are.
if someone knows all of shpongle's work and still disagrees, well, I wonder why you're listening to electronic music at all.
are you shpongled is by far the most ambient of their three albums (soon to be four *drool* )
if you want to hear something that'll show you how incredible a live show could be, listen to the third album "nothing lasts, but nothing is lost". its' a perfectly cohesive concept album.
GV NEEDS to book shpongle for 09.
I'm going to london to see them october 31st- their first live show since, well, the one time they did a live show previously. I'm hoping to no end that it'll be the beginning of a full tour.
how beautiful would it be to have simon posford and raja ram shpongle north america for the first time at coachella.

I know I'm fanatical about shpongle, but, well, yeah; I'm fanatical.
them being 'the best of the decade' is a statement based on my taste.
I think their music pays the same level of respect to timbre, ambiance, and dynamics that pink floyd did
I think their bone-crunching ability to indunce involuntary dancing surpasses daft punk
I think their conceptual vision is the most profoundly beautiful of anything I know-
essentially, that life is the preparation for the transition to another dimension- i.e. the transition to energy- vibration- music.
I think the arrangement and execution is indicative of minds that parallel classical greats in their genius.
I actually can't even imagine what they would/could do with a sound system the likes of the sahara's.
I promise you this:
if given the appropriate budget, time slot, and set length, they could easily put on the greatest edm show ever seen at coachella.

Yes to Presets! From what I've seen on the YouTubes, I can only imagine that they would destroy the Sahara.

Thanks for the all the Jamiroquai love folks... but I really don't want them in the dance tent. They're "dancy" enough, but I'm telling you, they'd kill doing a mainstage set right before a headliner. THAT IS WHERE THEY BELONG!

The X-Ecutioners
I'm down for Prodigy playing again since I could not see them back in 2005 since they played about the same time as Black Star. Black Star was the reason I traveled across the state to Coachella.

would be awesome but i highly doubt they will do any live shows next year. i'll take some other DFA acts (Hercules and Love Affair and Juan Maclean) and a James Murphy dj set in lieu, though!
