So after reading the Sun article about there being 150,000 people attending this years Coachella, there was a lot of conversation about why they state the attendance numbers that way when in reality a lot of people went all 3 days.
So I'd like to know exactly how many of us went all 3 versus 1 or 2 days...
VOTE NOW! :D

I attended no days, and feel excluded and enraged by this poll. Discrimination!

I went all three but I was totally drained by the third day and almost didn't go. I wasn't excited to go day 3. It was kind of like... well, I paid so I better woman up. Personally, I wish it were still only 2 days.

In my own opinion, you cannot just due one day or even two days of Coach. It has to be all or none...

Coachella has to be all or nothing!!! When I think of how exhausting the weekend is and how much work it takes to go from stage to stage accross the field and back I think back to when I was a kid and spent a day at disneyland or great america and always asked my parents if we could come back the next day...the answer was always no! So coachella is my 3 day ammusement park vacation!!! Love it!!!

All three days, BITCH! Haha. Yeah, technically four though if you count the goodtimes that happened on Trainchella and then in the campgrounds

I revel in the 3 days. By the end of day 2 I'm pretty beat, but for some reason Sunday just seems so easy to rally again and start all over. I think it's because it was only 2 days for so long and the third day is like a special gift. Thank you GV.
I could go 4 days easy.

I agree. I'm usually very tired by the end of Saturday, but somehow get a 3rd wind, or 4th, maybe 5th...depends on how hot it is.
Four days would be rough. There would have to be some REALLY good bands to make that work.

I love it at 3 days! I can't wait until next year . We are posting up Thursday & won't be leaving until Monday morning. I don't think there is any other way to do it.

so the trend is quite clear...not only did a good percentage of people go all 3 days (BITCH!!), but most everyone on this messageboard are hardcore Coachella fans that wouldn't go any less than 3 and are wanting 4!
I think instead of adding an extra day, they should add another span of dates in the early fall, just as it starts to cool off. That way we wouldn't have to wait a full year for coachella...it isn't the amount of days, the heat, the drive that kills me....it's the wait until the next festival!!

all 3, I cant even imagine going through all the work to go there and camp and all that stuff, and not attend the whole time...if Coachella ever goes back to 2 days, ill be very choked.

No no, I quite understand. It was an appropriate and deserved BITCH! deployment. I have a good excuse though, I'm in on the wrong side of the Atlantic.
Someday I'll get to Coachella; if only to see what the sun actually looks like. I mean, I've heard stories, seen pictures, but until I actually witness real, honest-to-God sunshine, then for all I know it's a smell or a sound or something...

missing, I had no idea you'd never been, dude! wow, we should start a fund for you or something.
as a canadian, I thought this "dry heat" business was some kind of joke or scientific trick or artificial creation like "dry ice", but nope, it's real, all natural, and actually quite pleasant.
also, they don't allow people to bring big flags on poles! nor obnoxious umbrellas, excessive noisemaking devices, or glass bottles near the stages, but they do let you smoke cigarettes where you like, I've never been busted for weed, and I've also never been accosted by any drunk dicks looking for fights. you'd fucking love coachella, man.

good to know.
although I call pretty much everyone, including my girlfriend's mother 'dude'. I use it more of an exclamation than as a means of addressing someone. it's a travesty of grammar, I know

Aw, you guys. The rest of the Internet might bitch about you behind your backs, but don't you listen to 'em, you've got hearts of gold. Gravy-sodden cheese-fat gold.
It's actually vaguely feasible for next year. I've got some hazily defined plans to head to Canada next summer, I could possibly build Coachella into it while I'm on that side of the water.
Shouldn't be too hard. America and Canada are basically the same country, right?
...
Right?
frozen pilgrim
08-23-2008, 12:35 PM
well, it's 2000 miles+ from toronto to indio, but round trip airfare can be bought for under $250 CAD, making it totally feasible.

Don't feel too sorry for me, I'm working at a festival next week. I'll bring back photos, show you what a real festival looks like. No big names, and torrential fucking rainfall. Awesome!
