Although Blink did rule (up until the s/t), I was mostly just curious to see your reactions.
Though I'd rather enjoy the nostalgia of hearing early Blink songs live, than fall asleep watching Coldplay. Not that Coldplay is bad.. just kinda pretentious and boring at times.

Given the fact I could play their basslines in my sleep, Blink 182 is pretty damn boring.
And the festival doesn't need an insurgence of Warped Tour meatheads. This year, with no major aggro bands, had a way better atmosphere than last year's testosterone-laden rage fest.

you should not be allowed to exist. People talk about recession, asians taking over the world, mormons representing a political party... Shit like this might happen if anymore people like you are put in charge. I can fully understand what kind of person would enjoy both bands if they already like one, but who the fuck would be gaudy enough to like either in the first place, NO EXCEPTIONS. I am at this stage more interested in finding out who you are due to the fact that you are agreeing with the person who said HEY LETS GET BLINK 182, see that guy is already going to get fucked up by somebody, but I personally take it upon myself to fuck up the underlying mobocracy that possible could exist, which is what you are.

I don't see how Blink would be much different than the No Doubt reunion which was speculated, and met with little reistance, earlier this year. Just saying.

Well in all honest statistics say 30% of the male crowd at coachella is gay and thats only of the 50% male part. Thats a gross 15% total coachella crowd in the "No Doubt 4 '09" and then the rest are women who about 95% I would say "if" there is a beat and "if" they are intoxicated they dont give a fuck OR they are going with their older sisters who either fall into that category of intoxication theory or really think no doubt is good, which is a debatable subject which requires at least three runs of Factual Arguements/cross-examination with a 2 minute closing statement secession with a presiding opinion selected upon by either a random jury or the two sides agree upon the person. BUT back to the original statement, if you consider the majority of the female (lesbians included) coachella goers to be in favor of then you will see a clear majority of 'No Doubt' purely do to the feminine vote. The people who vote 'Blink 182 4 '09" simply just don't have enough members who attend coachella to make a significant dent into any form of logical input. I am on the road alot, I unfortunately even saw Blink 182 in their prime a while back, I did not think it was a good concert, entertaining because me and the chick i was with simply had a blast making fun of the people surrounding us. I was at 21 Choices last week, and I was unfortunately in Fresno, GOD I HATE FRESNO, actually at shaver lake, BUT still with in the vicinity of the armpit of the world for those of you who are unfamiliar with Fresno, anyways while at 21 choices i was waiting while some pseudo rocker dude/possibly girlfriend were talking behind me, the girl was showing her possible boyfriend her tramp stamp of "R.I.P. Blink 182" with a giant heart that was stabbed with a dagger as a background, it was a serious tattoo with the intention a of being cool, she like was talking about how she connects with the band and with what they stand for. I really contemplated my life after that and realized the world is a ball of rotating shit. Thats why nobody takes blink seriously, coachella is an escape from the world in a sense, do not bring your shitty belief systems in and expect us to be nice, us being me and the guy who is staring at the chick next door through the window, oh wait thats me too.

I know Blink isn't what you think of when someone says Coachella, but if you had acts like Sean Penn and Dwight Yoakam this year.. then Blink doesn't seem so random.
They wouldn't attract that many "Warped Tour" kids, they'd probably just show up for Blink anyway, so you can avoid them. I bet many of the 20-25 year olds who attend the festival liked them at one point in their lives.
It's not like all they sing about is toilet humor. They have plenty of serious songs about love and life like every other band. They just throw in the occasional joke because they're not too proud to laugh at themselves, which many people identify with.
Oh, and whoever tried to deny their musical talent obviously is an idiot. I bet you could play most of the Beatles bass lines too, so they must suck right?

Blink 182 headlining would be amazing! I could totally leave early and get out of the parking lot in seconds like I did just before Jack Johnson!

This just doesn't make sense. No one was real surprised when we found out Dwight was playing. Same with Sean (we speculated other things).
If Blink played Coachella, they're would be more hate thrown at GV than there was for when they initially announced Jack Johnson as a headliner.

The Bass line to Something is on a whole other level of musical sophistication than anything Mark Hoppus will ever do.
