Would be awesome, he might even take it upon himself to out do Aphex...

But they really are to completely different types of performers...

yeah as of lately it seems aphex twin just does the laptop dj set thing when he performs, which is still cool. Squarepusher on the other hand will defintely bring the live aspect into his performance, which will translate to more ear candy and most likely appease most of the people who said afx was boring this year.
Though I wasn't able to go to coachella this year and witness his performance,I actually liked richards djing from what i heard of the live recording. Still though, seeing tom jenkinson rip on the bass would be a fucking treat. plus he'll probably be throwing massive idm-jungle-glitchy-crazy beats for a longer period of time than aphex twin probably did, that is if you dig that kind of thing. i've never seen squarepusher either so i could totally be wrong.

For a longer period of time? I don't know about that, man. They only gave Richard an hour (which really pissed me off). I'd be surprised if they gave squarepusher more than that.

sorry what i meant by that was a longer period of time in terms of the ratio of style of music performed .. not necessarily a bigger set length. such as the ratio of heavy breakcore/idm/glitch performed in the alotted set time vs not playing idm/drillnbass/breakcore/blah blah blah in the allotted set time.

i say this cuz aphex's set was very eclectic/genre bending, very tranquil and house like at first then giltchy and grindy towards the end.

i don't know about that. he played about 10 new songs at his bangface set and they were from punk to acid madness. and looks like his new album is gonna be more about rock than the usual jazz/dnb bleeps.
