Participants have chosen a roster of artists and must choose one to go head-to-head with another participant's band. The winner will move on be one step closer to deciding the fate of what I will listen to for the next 3-6 months.

It does, because knowing what bands you wont face in a later round may influence your decision on who to play. I say to keep that confidential until it's over.
