I don't think Jeremy has performed before. I would be very happy with Enigk solo or an SDRE reunion. :)

I saw the last Enigk solo tour at the Cafe du Nord in SF, it was really good, Jeremy sounded great.

He even intimated that there was a possibility of a Sunny Day reunion.

Sunny Day Real Estate would be cool as long as they dont play anything off the final album.

years ago, I saw Sunny Day at the Palace in Hollywood and it was so amazing, the crowd was reverent and hanging on every word..you could hear the proverbial pin drop between songs

I would very much be down for this, too. There's a lot of talk of the real emo bands on this board lately, which has been cool.

Actually no Get Up Kids, Sunny Day Real Estate, Braid, or any of the like would not be considered real emo bands. I mean they are second generation and a different direction but real emo bands would be what evolved out of the punk and hardcore dissolution of 86 like Rites of Spring, Moss Icon,Embrace, Youth of Today, early Fugazi. I mean that is what a real emo band would be. None of this cookie cutter FalloutSundayatTheDisco crap.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know I know, but they're all probably the last credible bands of the tagline so they get that much credit. Rites of Spring, Fugazi (a bit), Embrace -- the Dischord D.C. bands started it all (Hah, I wrote that before I read the part where you actually said it, too...) I like to say the SDRE, GUK, Braid are emo-indie because they're pretty melodic but still have that punk/post-hardcore element to them. They'd all basically just be indie rock bands had they still released material today.

"Jeremy has finished his new album. And it's good. Really good. We can't wait to share it with you all. We're not announcing a release date just yet, but it's coming soon, we promise.

Also, Jeremy's Fall tour begins today. He will be playing a wide array of songs from all of his various incarnations, as well as material from the forthcoming record."
