There will be nothing "special" just for the tenth anniversary. You don't have to be happy about it, but expect the Killers to headline.

The Killers will headline opening a can of dignity when David Bowie headlines and if they do play are subheadliners or third tier or at best. Possibly the worst band ever I would rather suffer through Death Cab for Cutie again then subject my ears to someone trying to bring the 80s back cause I was there and it cant be fixed.

That would be cool Wasted but I also dont want them to waste money on the Killers when they can book someone that people actually want to see regardless if im at another stage I dont want that crap to have the possibilty of drifting across the desert.

Hey wasted, just thought I would let you know something. The Prodigy are playing a show in the UK on April 17. If The Prodigy are at Coachella, the only possible day they will play is Sunday. No chance of a Killers vs. Prodigy conflict.

Really weird. Because he says he's Mormon and married with a kid. But Brandon (don't call me) Flowers was in A Life in Pop, a documentary about Pet Shop Boys, wherein he describes how they help shape his sexuality.
Anyone else see that doc?

The Pet Shop Boys are gay & he had sex with them? Sounds like a great documentary. What's it rated?

In a interview recently, Brandon Flowers said him and the rest of the Killers supported proposition 8.

Hmm. Fail on his part then. More reason to hate the killers. How terrible do you have to be to support Pet Shop Boys on a documentary about London gay life and this duo's career saying they influenced you. And then say gays can't marry. What a fucking tool.

Got a link? because the only thing I've seen him say on prop 8 was that it doesnt matter what he thought. (not saying whether he was for or against it). He's friends with the Rufus Wainwright, Neil Tennant, Elton John, and Lou Reed and was interviewed in the Advocate. What your saying doesn't add up.

I still want the Killers to headline friday because I know there will be a good set in the sahara, fingers now crossed for Orbital....
"i still believe in paradise..."
God I would d anything to see them again...more than underworld too.
Thanks for the info on the prodigy, I got bored of trolling groups touring schedules so I just throw favorites out there.
And about Underworld, yeah, definitely some nice guys. I met Karl and Rick at of all places an art show in Pasadena in 2004, long story short, found out the only one of them that does any drugs or even drinks is Darren, both are completely sober. Darren was djing at a club that night, Rick said the club when just to dirty for them and they left. They went on stage and all the people thought it was going to be an underworld surprise set so they went crazy, but they only went up to tell Darren they had to go, so when they went off stage everybody was confused. I laughed so hard at that, really one of the few moments I have met anybody famous, just so happened to be them. I guess they just don't take advantage of their fame and just do normal people stuff.

got this from THIS (http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/mormon-stars-face-backlash-after-gay-marriage-ban-1003967.html)
Flowers has said his religion is "very important" in his life, but told a recent interviewer that he took a liberal position on gay rights. Osmond opposes gay marriage, but claims on his website that this doesn't make him homophobic. "I do support our church leaders who say that we can accept those with gay tendencies in our church, as long as they do not act upon their temptations."

Ahhhh, mormonism... I was forced to go to this church while I was in foster care. I lived with this two old couple it was a strange experience for sure.
Ummmm as for flowers being mormon, this is the deal, When he is in the church surrounded by lds people he's going to say whatever doesn't conflict with what their prophet says or the book of mormon says, when he is surrounded by non-lds people of course he doesn't want to seem like a looney, he's going to say different. That's the "mormon liberal," never conflicting with their VERY personal beliefs, but always appearing as a genuinely normal person.
