does anyone have handy the daft punk coachella set in FLAC format?
i cant find it in flac anywhere online.
Closest is the huge torrent that has all recordings from that particular day by the taper. And my torrent app won't let me pick and chose what to download......so:
If one can upload it somewhere and PM me, that'd be cool.
Its involvement will be for the DVD i'm working on :)
(now forthcoming for real!)
(sorry if this should have just been posted in said DVDs thread, but figured it'd get more views this way).

I think I still have this on a CD-R somewhere. Post a link to a filehosting site suitable for it while I find it.
EDIT:
Uploading to mediafire.com. Should take about 20 minutes.

What a crappy site, after all that it gives me some "User not MediaPro" crap. What's a good upload site?

I think maybe its because mediafire has a 100mb limit per upload (for free users), but it should have told you before hand that the file(s) were too big!
anway,
megaupload.com
Has a 500mb limit per upload too
It's kinda slow to upload, but gets the job one.
Thanks again!

Notes: The most anticipated set of Coachella 2006 was undoubtedly Tools reemergence on the second night, but the dark horse set of the weekend has to go to Daft Punk. Anyone familiar with the French House music DJ/Production duo would have never ruled them out, but the surprise comes from their cross-over appeal, and that most probably derives from the nature of the set itself.
Dropping the turntables and bringing out a full live show, along with the best stage design/lighting set-up of the weekend, their jaw dropping performance left Madonna looking all the more aged and stale by the time her troupe took to the same stage the next evening.
Introduced by the theme from "Close Encounters of the Third Kind", the black curtain pulls back to reveal a pulsating pyramid structure which house our two robo-protagonists, Thomas Bangalter, and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo,, for the next 80 minutes. Dressed in leather flight suits topped with gleaming robot-like headgear, the camera shy duo are flanked by a hexagonal grid of lights and a huge video screen backdrop. Together the two sample and mash and grind their greatest hits alongside some fairly new material. The result is a technologic smorgasboard of image and color, beats and phrases, sights and sounds.
And as if the senses aren't overloaded enough, the stage is extended by large screens, and continues outside of the tent on both sides with screens and P.A. reenforcement. Even from the back of the tent the effect feels like your being swallowed, emearsed in a sea of brilliantly blinding color, as wave after wave of pulsating beats crash at your ears. A stark contrast from the minimal beats and tight choreography of Kraftwerks 2004 appearance, Daft Punk lays it down, layering distorted guitar riffs, acid washed big beats, and twisted vocoded vocals until the result is some mutated form of sonic image bearing little resemblance to its commercially available counterpart.
In their 1st stateside appearance in 8 years, Daft Punk have come full circle, but still chart a course for territory unknown, blazing a trail since their inception in 1994 through the electronic music scene, blending styles and bending between them, from House to Acid to Pop and back again. A hell-bent psychedelic rollercoaster firmly planted on the rails of electronic music.
This show was top-notch! Lets hope we hear more from them this year as they head out for the European festival circuit this summer.
Sound is superb- Solid 5 - little or no crowd noise.
