That wasn't very interesting....they didn't even show the actual back stage. They showed it from behind the fences which everyone else can already see....

that's because the backstage area is actually pretty damn boring...just a bunch of crates and people working. this was the most exciting thing going on last year, the painting of the pig...

if i do go to lolla, i will be there for sure. that was a cool place to have a party. i'd hope to get back to chicago soon, but not sure if it'll be for lolla or not.

and that IS a boring backstage...where are the vip tables, bbqs and troughs of drinks/beers?? must be delivered to individual trailers or something....

I plan on doing Lolla again this year simply because it's easy and I will be visting family and friends as well. Thanks again for the hospitality last year Slurpee and making it easy to find your digs straight from O'hare and thanks to the guy who dropped me off later that night too. I think I was there til 3:00am from what I recall. Good times and good people. Did I post the pics? It's funny I look at those rooftop pics and i'm like, I don't really know any of these people, they are all this guy in chicago's friends. :)

Anyway, I would like to rsvp for the rooftop. ARen't your and your lady going around the world or something? Maybe a fest over seas somewhere? I thought I remembered you saying that.

I drove by the Empire Polo Field this aft and this is what it looked like through the gate at Monroe and Avenue 50. This is shot from behind where the Outdoor Stage will be. Can't even wait.

I just hate how KROQ is involved. They play like 5% of the bands who perform at Coachella. Anyone see their top 106.7 songs of 2008? its just 2006 and 2007 in a different order. With nothing but linkin park, offspring, foo fighters, and weezer in the top 20. fuck kevin and bean too.

the road on the first part IS back stage. That is how you get around back stage from stage to stage. The road on the way to camping is not back stage. That is the same road the common folks use to get to camping.

KROQ totally ruined MGMT for me! they were so awesome at coachella! and then towards the end of the 08 year KROQ started to play MGMT & now u got bro dudes playing it in their lifted trucks and tweeny boppers trying to jump onto whatever is the hottest thing, i'm all for MGMT being successful but it just sucks when a station like KROQ gets a hold of a good band cuz their fan base can be kind of douchey, Now next time they play a show in LA u have to compete with the KROQ douchey fan base buying up all the tix
