this has been out for quite awhile hasn't it? shit I actually thought this was by arctic monkeys...
it's ok, but I long for the days when they were doing the Happy Mondays thing (aka the first album)...

Well it's technically not out at all... yet.
If you own FIFA 09, you can hear it there, or if you stream BBC1, it pops up on that, but not officially released till the summer as a single, unless you live in Japan, where it came (and went) 2 months ago.
I too like the Club Foot era stuff, but also liked Empire - this nicely brings the two styles together.

This is rad.
I have gone on record saying this before, but I think their first album is a modern classic. I think hindsight will be extremely kind to it.

I've liked Kasabian ever since I heard Processed Beats, I'm a fan. I'd like to catch them live this year.

I loved the first CD, and I still give it some heavy rotation. But I could never give "Empire" the same treatment. I enjoyed them at Coachella in 2005, as well as opening for Oasis later in the year. I hope that their next CD is a nice return, and that they come back to Coachella in 2009.

I feel the same way about Empire, it just didn't wow me like the first album, although my friends seem to love it.
Gimmie some more L.S.F. (Lost Souls Forever) - my alltime favorite Kasabian track.
They did give the axe to one of the band members during the making of Empire, I hope that wasn't the end of their happy mondays phase... anyone know the story behind that?

empire sucked. I was in denial for a little while but really, it sucked.
I'm not sure why the other guy left. it's a shame, I had a feeling he was the most talented one.

I disagree that Empire sucked. It was good in a different way. But the vibe and tunes were so fantastic on the first one.

I also disagree that Empire sucked. Is it better than the debut? No. Does it have a weak track or two on it, yeah i guess, but suck it does not.

Kasabian is way better than Empire, but Kasabian is way better than a lot of things. Empire is a solid album. This new song sounds cool. I'd love to see them again.

If Oasis is going to be at Coachella - so will Kasabian
