Pemberton Festival 2009 in Pemberton BC Canada has been cancelled until 2010. Damn Agricultural Land Reserve and their late approval of the land!

Here's hoping 2010 is stellar and they make a really good transportation plan in the next year and half!

Doood....saying there are too many places to have fun and listen to music is just retarded. I like you Erik, but come on.

I was really hoping this would happen. Seriously. Last year was a total shit show. The bands were great... al of them. I saw some amazing acts that weekend. But seriously, wost organized festival EVER.

Let us not forget though, Pemberton 2008 was the premier of NIN's amazing light show.

Probably would've been U2, Madonna and *cough* Nickelback *cough*.

And the "Bacardi" part of the dance tent would probably have been dropped for an open to anyone dance tent.

I hope since Pemberton isn't comming back, V-Fest Vancouver comes back.

With Virgin radio launching today (formerly Z95.3/Crave), V-Fest could be a huge possibility.

That's cool, I'll just go to the Whistler Music Festival this year instead.

I'm sure that one is coming back, smaller but still cool...

2008 Line Up was...

Serena Ryder
Meshell Ndegeocello
Bedouin Soundclash
The Roots
Theivery Corporation
Medeski, Martin and Wood
Robert Randolph & The Family Band
Allen Toussaint Band
Broken Social Scene
Elvis Costello and The Imposters

Huh? What is this?

95 Crave (95.3 on Vancouver's FM dial) tweaked their radio format and became Virgin Radio. Same DJs and basically the same music top 40 playlist...just under the Virgin name now. Toronto recently had a station rebrand as Virgin Radio.

But isn't odd these festivals died after the insane line-ups they had? Damn economy.... :nono

MarkO

The economy had nothing to do with Vegoose. They had the two biggest draws of '07 (Daft & Rage) and still couldn't sell out.
