I had heard of Boards of Canada lots of times before, but I think this board was a pretty big factor in getting me to listen to them for the first time, and I was pretty hooked from there. I also discovered Asobi Seksu from this board, but I'm not the biggest fan... I just hadn't heard of them till I came here, and I definitely think they're a band worth my knowing.

Other than that, the other bands this board has reccomended and I ended up liking were bands that were playing Coachella that year and I would have been listening to anyway, so I don't think that really counts.

If anything, this board has introduced me to a lot of hate. :(

I never had an ounce of distaste for Jack Johson, depsite me agreeing that he's a horrible Coachella headliner... but some of the smack that gets talked about a pretty peaceful person like him really does blow my mind. I also had no idea bands like Animal Collective and the Chili Peppers could be so passionately hated by so many people, let alone this board. But oh well, I guess I'm supposed to ignore it.
