Hi, does anyone want to help out the new people by listing or linking to places to stay by Coachella??? Please...

probably too late to stay anywhere really close for a decent price, most of those places book up immediately after the dates are announced.

best bet is to look on the main coachella page, they have hotel link there.

Hi suthbunny, I made this google map (http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=103131981154681599472.00043fdcb52f9b6427c57&z=12)a couple years ago, but most of the info is still accurate. It might help you get oriented.

Looks like the Indian Palms still has rooms available, according to their online reservation thingy. (Yeah, that's a technical term.)

That tiki themed hotel in Palm Springs was ok, but their "free continental breakfast" was those small otis spunkmeyer muffins, and they totally jacked up the bill-and it took months and a BBB complaint to get it fixed.

Thanks everyone. I had to pay 300 for a 2 star in palm springs. Next year will be better I hope. I was late to book obviously..

I pm'd this to suthbunny earlier. But for anyone else still looking, Marriott's Desert Villas 1 is $224 a night during that time for two queen beds. Tripadvisor rates it highly too. Only 8 miles from Coachella.

Indian Palms is about a mile away from the polo field. Fairly certain it's the closest place to stay aside from actually camping onsite.

Deluxe Inn was okay in 2007, but I'm not sure about now.
