Hello everyone ... hey, I was wondering if anyone remembers at least 3 BANDS that have made unannounced, surprise appearances in previous years? I can only remember solo acts, but not bands. I need to stop my friends buggin' me about it.

Edit: I'm talking about bands that hadn't even been added to the bill after the initial line-up release.

The Peak Show had their own teeny stage set up near the back of the main stage crowd area and would play 15 minute sets between main show acts back in... 2003?

Tenacious D (somewhere between a band and a solo act) did a micro-set one year.. I think they did 2 songs then introduced the Foo Fighters?

The Mormons (dudes with a "missionary" shtick) played the line with a portable amp back in 03 or 04.

Yes, that's what I meant. Thanks for your help! I'll tell you why we need these answers so badly: I'm in Mexico and I need these answers for a quiz contest whose main prize is an all included trip to Coachella.

So ... I guess The Peak Show and Tenacious D would qualify. Not so sure about the Mormons, since they played in tent city, right? That was more of an impromptu thing.

Anyway, just wondering: did Madonna, Kanye and Beck made it onto the poster when they were late-additions?
