Prince performed a string of covers at his post-Oscars bash last night (February 22) in Los Angeles, and even allowed members of the public access to the intimate bash.

Fans lined up outside the venue for hours after hearing that they would be allowed access to the event at the Avalon club in Hollywood for $100 per ticket.

Prince took to the stage around 1.45am, and performed a two-hour set including covers of The Beatles' 'Come Together', The Rolling Stones' 'Honky Tonk Women' and Jimmy Eat World's 'The Middle', as well as renditions of 'Wild Thing' and 'Play That Funky Music', reports rollingstone.com.

Alicia Keys, Maroon 5’s Adam Levine, Queen Latifah and Tyler Perry were among the celebrities watching the show.

The show was also to celebrate the launch of the star's website LOTUSFLOW3R.com .

Hilarious. Anyone know if this is on youtube or anything? I'd love to hear it.

I bet it was really fucking good too.

Ha! No shit Cherita, of course it was good

But Prince has his own personal Youtube Security Team. Constantly scouring the site 24/7 for anything with his image in it

I used to think Prince was a dick for doing that with youtube. But then after seeing him live and telling people about him doing a cover of Radiohead. It makes that more special. I would have loved to have been at his Superbowl gig. I suppose he does it so that your ticket is worth the money, so fair play.

I am really looking forward to Prince touring again. I don't care if I have to sell my soul on ebay I am going to get to his show this time around. Especially after experiencing his show at coachella, I won't miss it again.
