View Full Version : I'M SUFFERING PRECOACHELLA SYNDROME! AM I THE ONLY ONE?

My name is Ernie* and I have PRECOACHELLA SYNDROME.

I'm at work just thinking about flying to LAX on Apr 16th.

I constantly check the web if theres a new add to the lineup (before the lineup was released it was hell, you could figure it out).

I email my friends all day about things we should bring to the festival.

The only good thing about this is that I'll be cured by Apr 20th (just for a while...)

You will only get the PostCoachella Syndrome wich is worst, U wont stop talking about it !

Last year, before my first Coachella, I felt the same way you do now. It was terrible. So this year I made 3 "Coachella Resolutions":

I told myself I would limit my time on the forum. This has made the wait much easier.
I would not start preparing my luggage until April. Planning what you're going to pack for months and months is more stressful than it's worth.
I would enjoy myself TO THE MAX at the festival itself (last year I overplanned and worried about getting at least 7 hours of sleep, not eating to much...etc)

I suggest not looking at the forums until next Wednesday and then not again until Friday. Try it. Seriously, it will help.

Coachella is LITERALLY the only thing I have to look forward to right now! My whole life is revolving around 4 days in the desert, Hahaha I don't know how to feel about that!

last year i was completely obsessed with the coachella boards and it took forever for it to come. this year im hardly on and coachella is coming up super fast for me. i cant wait for this year though.

I totally agree with you.

My first year was 07. Great lineup! I bought my tickets like 2 weeks before and I had no time to plan. I did have a great time but I missed a lot of things.

AlexBlewHimB4U-----> One of my friends told me that he is not planning anything right now, and if he is he uses coachella as reference...

After 3 hours on my job, have done anything but read coachella threads. So definetively I have the syndrome.

I have to agree with Spongeghead Coachella Resolutions.

DAMN I want to be there already!

no worries we are all in the same boat...it seems like the last 4 Mondays in a row I've wanted to blow off work...I did last week for 3 days and thought 'bout how much I can't get on a plane and be off work for 4 days plus having a fabulous weekend in the desert!!!

Everyday I wake up and imagine myself walking into the campgrounds, setting up, going to the festival, dancing in the Sahara... gets me through the day. SO CLOSE!

Ahhh thanks BD!!! I remember in '07 my best friend and I jumped the fence into the horse stables and the guy just let us chill in the shade before the gates opened. We also got to see some horses which was cool.

The first time I started counting down was 29 days... I thought I was ok. But come 24 days, I joined the forums, started looking at lenses I'm going to bring, day dreamed about taking the 2h 30min drive there and dancing until dawn, and anytime my friends ask me whats up I'm just " o_o coachellacoachellacoachellacoachellacoachellacoach ella". Sometimes I think I get so tense that my muscles start aching in anticipation. It's probly cuz my Coacherry hasn't been popped but I WANT IT NOW!

nice pics! i've been counting the days ever since last year got out. there haven't been many days since then that I haven't been on this board speculating about this years lineup. :D
