I went out to drink at a place where it was $3 a drink....beer or mixed drink. Ended up spending $30. I'm supposed to be saving up for Coachella. And I'm only getting 24 hours a week at work. Stupid drunk spending. Anyone else doing this or anything else like this?

$30? you're bitching about $30? i went to a bar 2 weeks before a trip to europe, and long story short, ended up costing me $550. it could be way worse. if you want that $30 back, find a plasma donation center. you can donate twice a week for at least $25 a pop

I've got a nice little nest egg of $300 for Coachella.......supplies. Woot for direct deposit into an account that I don't have an ATM card for.

I spend at least $60 on alcohol every week (in bars & clubs). That's why I'm not going out that much lately to save some money for my Coachella drinking. I think I spent at least $200 drinking last year at the festival. Those fucking beers are too expensive.

For some reason once you cross into the polo grounds, money no longer seems so important.

Exactly. That's why it's so important to have a good budget, just to say: "fuck it, it's Coachella"

My brother is unemployed right now so apparently that means I have to not only support my own habits but his as well. I have blown a bunch of money I shouldn't have.

The fact I get paid the day of Coachella helps ease my feelings towards not spending.

Yeah I get paid the 15th, and that is my "free" check so all is good. But I do need to stop spending so much at the bars. I think I have spent $250 between Saturday to now, but then Saturday was my brothers birthday so I ended up paying for him and his other unemployed friend. UGH

i spent the last two years changing jobs, changing shifts, stopped going to as many shows and bars, all in order to resolve my credit card situation. im totally messing all that hard work up by getting expensive rooms for this years coachella. i will never learn. i always spend money i shouldnt.

Keep in mind, at Coachella, I'm only sober when I'm sleeping...and even then it's only half the time probably. I've spent like $10 in beer @ all Coachellas put together. I bought it because I had one of those taste cravings, where water nor the lemonade slush would suffice...plus, the lineup (2007) was amazing and well worth the buy. (I actually spend more money on Lemonade Slushies than anything else, besides the tix, where last year I calculated a total spending of $120; the year before $180) *I thank all those who have the money to burn on festival alcohol; it's YOUR contributions--as well as everyone elses' purchases that give life to this great festival of the world!* My contributions go to merchandise: shirts, hoodies, posters, etc....
These days, saving is like common sense...where practicality is mandatory. I'm bringing in the cooler, loaded with sandwiches, snacks, munchies, fruits and w/e... The mind-altering candy will be stored right under their noses for bi-passing. All money spent on, at or for Coachella has so far been increasingly beneficial each year. And by the end of the weekend, I'm only bummed because it's over; it's never financially-related. Budgeting helps one to enjoy their experiences (past, present and future) even after it's over...no regrets opens life to a new age. Consider!...the human race is in a slow, naive countdown.

well this is the first year i'm going to coachella with no money. and yeah, one or two years ago $30 wouldnt be shit. but now that i'm getting no hours at work and advancing myself money every friday.....$30 is a lot. i used to use my tax refund for coachella but this year it was intercepted by the IRS for something my stupid mom did. but fuck it coachella is totally worth it. especially this year.

DUUUUUUUUUUUUH

Here we go...another victim who calls himself C DUB YA...you're a real class act. A genuine response like, "Duh" seems to work coming from you. But only you!...no one else can take that away from you. Somebody important or someone with just the slightest of intellect, might come along with an agenda of stealing your originality, but it won't work because shit only comes out of an ass...and again, nobody can take that away from you...unless maybe you're a F.^.GG()T? But you don't have to answer that. If you cannot understand FAGGOT, then don't bother...others will see to it that you are given the opportunity towards freedom of speech, in which you might respond with an important, ambitious voice, "DUUUUUUUUUUUUH"...then somebody whispers within the crowd, "I think I heard someone clapping"...
P.S.~ C DUB YA, actually stands for C.W., which actually stands for Common Wanker...and in case you do not understand what that means, well the next paragraph sums it up. I will explain in great detail the importance of your character as well as the significance of whatever it is you might have to say:

~The End.

The sooner you get it, the better you'll know how to use it next week. Don't forget the large memory card and extra battery if you are likely to take lots of pictures and videos. There will be no shortage of pictures and movies to look at from other people, but your own pictures are the best at triggering the memories.

I bid on a shnazy red ipod on a police property site yesterday and won a couple of hours ago. This means less mad money next week. I still have enough mad money saved to keep me sane throughout the weekend.

Amen to that, got a 8GB high write speed card in the mail yesterday, good ol ebay has em for $25, such a deal since they are $60 in store. I now have 20 GB of memory in sd format for the canons and 7 in memory stick format for the sony to use per day at coach.
