they both played the Almost Acoustic Christmas if memory serves me right....but Offspring have played a LOT of KROQ events over the years, and Rise Against has become rather chummy as well, so i wouldn't put it past them

Green Day and Blink 182 also have a very solid history with the station...and seeing how KROQ had the pleasure of hosting the first WEEZER come-back show at AAC 2000 i could definitely see Weenie Roast being the first (or one of) blink-182 comeback shows

I've grown to despise KROQ so much that I don't think I could bring myself to shell out $75 for the Weenie Roast no matter who's playing.

There is a woman here in the office next to mine. She is like...41 or so. I have always disliked KROQ. Now, I fucking despise kroq. She has the kroq license plate frame, the kroq stickers, the keychains, and yes, listens to kroq from early morning when she starts to the end of the day when she leaves. I've got my music and such going on, but I can still kind of hear her shit all day. Miserable. I don't understand the obsession. She calls Kevin and Bean more than I call my grandma. that's punishment to the ones who bought tickets. j/k, sorta. i was a huge fan of them in the mid to late 90's, saw them on a weekly basis during summers, sometimes multiple times in a week. i still am a fan, but their live shows always left a lot to be desired. at least when they played shitty clubs like showcase theater it wasn't such a big deal that they sucked. but when seeing them in arenas it became all the more evident.

and i love how kroq lists this show as sold out on their main page when hundreds of tickets are still available.

Blink is gonna be on Kevin and Bean monday morning. It seems very likely espec w/ barker being there already that Blink will at least do an abbreviated set (prob 30min). If i remember correctly weenie roasts have surprise guests all the time, Dave Grohl comes to mind.

livenation had better seats than that yesterday. depending on how picky you are those are good seats. i notice alot of people on here arent happy unless its like the first 5 rows of orchestra, though.

my friend (who works at KROQ) hooked me up with some tickets earlier today/yesterday. YAY i have been to the fiesta the past 4 yrs and was kinda bummed i was gonna miss it this yr. going to weenie roast is a tradition for me. i knw that im gonna have a good time no matter what bands are or are not there. obviously having great bands on the line up makes it totally better.

with 2 kids now i couldn't imagine going to a show and dropping $100 to feel a little buzz. i actually rarely drink now that i have kids, so weird that it just does nothing for me now. i drink one or two days at coachella and am then over it, and even then it's my special lemonade that i bring in and that dani called me out on at the photo, haha.
