How long after doors open is the 1st act? (Friday)

Specifically Friday since that's the day I'm going but I notice the doors open at 11am each day. However I was looking at my '07 guide and the first bands didn't start till 2 or 3 hours after that. Did the doors open as early back then? I notice last year the acts started a little earlier (12-1ish) but I don't know when the doors opened.

Reason I ask is I'm bringing my family and I don't want to wear them out in the sun showing up at 11 if there's no bands to see until 2. I understand there's the art installations and all that.

probably a DJ in the Sahara at 12 or a small act in the Gobi at 12. Either that or 1.

Jupiter's Ring which wasn't even a real act started at 12:15 I think last year. No one of real importance will go on until two or so.

There's a lot to do when not seeing music. The art is gonna be amazing. All sorts of organizations have booths near the entrance.
I imagine opening the doors at 11 helps with human traffic at the entrances.

if the doors were at noon and the music started in the sahara at noon, nobody would be able to see the first 15 minutes or so of music, between the lines, security, & walk to the furthest stage...
