this thread is absurd. there are three stages pretty much dedicated exclusively the dance / electronic type music, AND they still put acts into Gobi and the main stage (if you want to stretch to thievery, or further to M.I.A). The Dome, Do Lab, and Sahara are more than enough. this is not a Dance / Electronic festival, its a music festival, for all genres. i dont see why this one gets such a special treatment. what about an all acoustic Folk tent? or what about following the sasquatch / Bonaroo trend and getting a comedy tent? Personally i didnt see the point of the Dome with the Do-Lab and the Sahara in full effect.

I thought there was a good amount of diversity this year- Gui Boratto was awesome, and half the crowd didn't even get it... Christopher Lawrence banged that tent the fuck out with some hard trance. Electro house is just what's popular right now dude. Deal with it.

And I think I looked at the cube for maybe 10 minutes then spent most of the show dancing and looking at all of you rolling and dancing. Far more entertaining.

The awesome thing about festivals is that you can go see what you want. Apparently there was something better to see than APW that was playing at the same time.

I had a blast going to the different stages and getting some different types of music.

I don't think coachella needs another dance tent though. There was plenty of dance/electro/techno/whatever to go around.

If they had a problem with too many popular sahara acts, I wouldn't have minded seeing some of those acts in the dome. That big field the dome was in was certainly more than big enough to fit a lot of people.

Oh and anyone who left edc early can't really bash on him. Personally I wasn't really feeling it at first but it really started to pick up about halfway through and really blew me away. And I wasn't on anything just for the record haha.

i didn't leave early, i caught a few minutes of the set. it was alright, but no amount of lasers can compete with LIVE dnb that includes a guy on a stand-up double electric bass. it sucks that something as amazing as roni size reprazent playing LIVE dnb had such a small crowd compared to EDC. i might have watched all of EDC's set if there hadn't been such rare, awesome music at the outdoor theatre. EDC wasn't bad, but it wasn't mind blowing either. if reprazent would have been in the tent, people would have been dancing their asses off for sure.
