Personally my favorite set of the weekend. Wasn't expecting it to be either, but shit, their set was amazing. They were so good my sunglasses literally disappeared off my head.

I didn't feel it from them at all. It was like their bass player and their sound men eloped to vegas and the rest of the band was trying to make do.

also, change your avatar, several people here have had that one before.

Well now I'm definitely not changing it.

I wanted to like it, but the bleed from the Dolab spoiled it from where I was standing.

Do Lab definitely tainted the experience, but as far as sound quality goes, it actually was not that bad for the Outdoor Stage. The Outdoor stage is notorious horrible in terms of sound quality.

Band of horses killed it. Them after fleet foxes could not have been more perfect. I was in the very front so i didnt have an issue with the do lab. But band of horses where probably my favorite act of the weekend.

They should have moved FF and BoH up an act or two so they actually did perform during sunset or right after. Instead, it was night for both acts.

I walked up just in time to hear "General Specific," which was boner-inducing. A couple songs later my loser friends, who were rolling really hard, dragged me to MIA, which sucked. Worse than that, when we got to the mainstage they said, "fuck this shit, I don't want to hear some chick yelling at us" and promptly walked back to the Outdoor. God I was pissed.

Band of Horses were great, I can't wait to catch a full set at Outside Lands.

Choosing between between them and Junior Boys was the hardest decision I had to make that weekend, ended up siding with the Junior Boys. Cant wait for some good sounding videos of their performance.

fleet foxes into band of horses was great!
I was close enough and off to the right side so I didn't really have any issues with sound bleed.

They were pretty Epic. Everyone around me went nuts when Funeral came on. Some dude next to me was like "This is like putting my headphones on" then some girl was like "no, this is way better" I have to agree.

I thought they were good, and that FF into them was a great (and really fucking obvious) choice, but I've seen them better. Sounded like he had a voice issue, noticed that he didn't really draw out the high, long notes, especially on Detlef Shremph.

I left after "The Funeral", but 5 of the 7 songs I saw them play were my favorites.

i was freaking out for the first couple of songs because they were one of the bands i was looking most forward to all weekend, and i was standing towards the back near the outdoor sign, and all of a sudden a ton of bros came and stood in front of us and laughed and high fived and wrestled during their set. completely distracting. couple that with the do lab bass and i was quickly getting furious. so i eventually snuck my way up right at the back of the sound board against the gate, and the sound guys actually had two monitor feeds playing right to them, and i was standing directly behind that, so all of a sudden the sound was crystal clear. thank god i moved. it still ended up being one of my favorite sets from the weekend.

my friend was doing monitor sound for them and he said they had been rehearsing this new song that made the hair stand up on his arms every time he heard it. it was just ben and tyler for the whole song. but they ended up switching it out for a more rocking playlist to compete with m.i.a. bummer.

I saw the first few songs. Don't know if it was the sound bleed issues but something just didn't click for me.

They were ridiculously good as expected, for those who didn't feel the same,

its possibly just not your taste of music.

Just bought my Band of Horses ticket for 4/18 right here in Miami Beach!!

Technically I saw them at Bonnaroo but I had eaten a wicked strong special rice krispie square and I stumbled over to their set. I spread out on the grass and just let their beautiful melodies wash over me as I slipped into that realm of not awake but not fully asleep either. It was the most energizing nap ever.

Im actually thinking i might want to sit for this show instead of being front row. Thoughts?

i think BOH is a terrific sitting act if you can see them well. it's good relaxing music. they're not crazy energetic on stage, but they sound really good.

Seeing them at Nokia a couple months ago made me wish i was outside. they're a good amphitheater band i reckon

Was anyone else at their set at Lolla last year? They basically came on late because Lou Reed played 20 minutes over his time which casued their set to be cut short. Only, they didn't cut it short. They played right on through even when Jane's Addiction with Mr. "Greatest Band In The World" Perry Ferrell started playing. What ensued was 20 minutes of both bands playing on the same field, on opposing stages, trying to play over eachother. It was magical. Not sounding, just that BOH was like "This is bullshit, we are going to finish our set." Awesome. Still makes me smile.
