This is from Billboard, I didn't see it posted on here yet. Lots of interesting info from the man himself, including the less than 60,000 attendance part. If this is true, it would help explain the faster sellout. Unless of course less than 60,000 means 59,999.

Also I think the rumor of this (or last year) being the last year of Coachella stemmed from the posibility of that area being developed, it all makes sense now.

The car pool thing is SWEET - I wonder how they plan on doing it?

If by "more grabbing" you mean IN ALL CAPS THEN YES I WOULD HAVE TO AGREE WITH YOU ON THAT ONE IT WAS A VERY CLEVER IDEA KEEPING YOUR FINGER ON THE SHIFT KEY OR PERHAPS JUST PRESSING THE CAPS LOCK BUTTON ONCE WHILE YOU WERE TYPING OUT THE TITLE OF THIS THREAD HOWEVER I STILL THINK SOMETIMES THE SUBTLITY OF CORRECTLY CAPITALIZED THREAD TITLES PROBABLY DESERVES MORE ATTENTION THAN THAT WHICH IS OVEREMPHASIZED IN ITS PRODUCTION VALUE IF YOU KNOW WHAT I AM SAYING THOUGH IT MAY BE HARD TO UNDERSTAND CONSIDERING I AM STILL HOLDING ON TO THE SHIFT KEY ( YOU SEE HOW I OPTED FOR THE SHIFT KEY OPTION HERE RATHER THAN PRESSING THE CAPS LOCK BUTTON ONCE )

I was joking.

Headlines are commonly delivered in caps, ain't nothin knew bud.

By more grabbing I mean its Paul T talking not some other worthless Billboard article.

Thanks though.

Headlines are commonly delivered in caps, ain't nothin knew bud.

That is completely untrue (we'll assume you meant 'new').

It wasn't until the Printer's Revolution of 1866 that headlines were printed in capital letters (and bolding).

Up until that point, you couldn't purchase enough ink from your suppliers to warrant wasting that much on the title.

In fact, headlines were usually written in smaller font than the article itself, because they were the last piece of text to be printed after the article itself (better to run out without a title than the body of the text).

I remember my grand-pa-pa would bring home small viles of ink he had managed to collect from the floor of the newspaper mill. I would drink it down in one big gulp...

I LOVE YOU GRAND-PA-PA

Why do people care so much if a post is repeated? People don't feel like going through every single post to find if it was already mentioned. On another note, if you have already read it and know about it, don't read it. Move on to the next post.

ya what the fuck. anyone that complains about threads being reposted is the biggest tool. why do you care if there's more than one thread on the same topic? obviously thats going to happen considering the number of people using this board.
and who cares if they're all in caps... you clicked the thread didn't you?
stop crying you little girls... it's just the INTERNET hahahahha

Here's my response to all of that in another thread:

We care because we're sick and fucking tired of having the same conversation over and over.

You ever go to a party with your girlfriend in an arm-cast or something and have to listen to her explain how she fell down the stairs so no one suspects anything to 37 different people?

That's what it feels like having to read these threads.

And if you think there's a shred of seriousness in any of my posts in this thread, you have severe comprehension issues.

Tar is a viscous black liquid derived from the destructive distillation of organic matter. Most tar is produced from coal as a byproduct of coke production, but it can also be produced from petroleum, peat or wood. The use of the word "tar" is frequently a misnomer. It is secreted by the gonads (sexual glands) and other sexual organs of male or hermaphroditic animals, including slugs, for fertilization of female ova. The process of discharge is called ejaculation. The meaning of life is to live it, and love God.

If this wasn't so long I would totally use it for a sig.

GV has always impressed me- I've never been to Jazzfest, Bonnaroo (which I'm sure is super fine), or even new orleans so I have very little experience with superFly but I'm willing to bet GV are the truest promoters in the country. I am simply floored that they went so far out of their way to preserve the polo grounds and fight off developers. that's a hell of a feat, almost makes me want to go to the country fest.

Will you be my friend? This is the most wonderful thing I've read in months, and I'm in the middle of a Christopher Moore book.

(By "friend", I mean figuratively. I don't consort with other humans.)
