they were amazing, and im glad i got to see them live and upfront. They sound just as good as their recordings. Also, on a side note, FIVE GUITARS?! YESSS
what does everyone else think who saw them?

they were alright. but with 5 guitars playing the same exact thing, it gets boring.

they were fantastic, when joel hit anton in the shoulder with his tambourine i thought we were going to see another brawl. they were tame though and played an amazing set.

Are all you guys 6 feet tall? Everyone I saw in that tent had at least a foot on me and were standing in my way. I'm convinced that there's a height requirement for BJM fans.

I listened to this entire set sitting down at the back of the mojave. They sounded amazing. I didn't really know much about them but I thoroughly enjoyed the set.
Mace Windu was on stage with them though?! Aww man... I wish I woulda seen that.

Yeah I didn't notice that till I got home and imported my images, I laughed for a second, they were really good, I'm a big BJM fan and own Dig! I was hoping for a fight just to get some action fight shots, but glad they pulled off a good set, the sound was amazing...

they were rock solid; I was on the rail and enjoyed every minute of it. After surviving Fucked up when everyone went to get some rest I just moved up. The bootleg posted in the coachella boots thread is really quality to.
What was with the guy with the sideburns and why wasn't he doing anything? A little singing, tapping the tambourine etc....

Joel "Sideburns" "Tambourine Master" Gion was standing behind me in the Mojave during Throbbing Gristle nodding his head while I was completely stoned and it was one of the most simultaneously terrifying and hilarious experiences I have ever had in my life. I will always remember Throbbing Gristle for both their awesomeness and for Joel fucking Gion.

Anyway, BJM were really really good, but they were actually maybe one of the only disappointments I had at this Coachella... I was really looking forward to watching them from the rail, and it was great to be front row but they just could not follow Fucked Up and No Age's sets. They should have played before No Age, after Vivian Girls, and I would have been very happy.
I left halfway through right before they did "Anenome" though and that was a bad decision.

loved their set. i've seen them a bunch because they do play in the bay area a ton, but since i've moved to LA i hadn't caught them in awhile and my boyfriend has never seen them so i took him along. they sounded great and played well, which is all you can ask for!

I'm so glad they didn't play Spanish Bee, cause if they had I would have hated myself for missing it.
God I love Joel though.

Did they do anything off of Thank God For Mental Illness?

That's pretty much the only song I wanted to hear and I heard it. It was a good set to sit down for and get my bearings.

The show was pretty cool, I love the post punk with a twist of badass country music thing they had going on. I was too far away to actually See them (unless I stood on tiptoe the whole time).
I was admiring this beautiful girl's vintage getup, and then this Really Hot Person taps her on the shoulder and gives her something. Then he just stands there and enjoys the music. Since the guy is standing right next to me, O start checking out his shoes, his lalalala you know...when I check out his face it becomes very very undeniably clear: I am standing next to Adrian Grenier. I just smiled to myself and gave myself a little pat on the back for coming to coachella this year.

After that, the day just got better and better.

I was right up front and loved every minute of it. The best part is when some people yelled to Anton "Great Job" and he replied "Thanks Dad"!!!! Fantastic

That is exactly what I did. No Age->Fucked Up was an insane amount of fun and I needed to rest. I grabbed some food, and just sat down at the back of the tent. A few minutes later, Tom sat down and joined me. Sunday was a great day this year.
