HARD's Discotheque....Thoughts

I went to the debut last Friday that was headlined by Don Rimini and Classixx at Club740 downtown and had a great time. Only complaint was that the place was pretty empty... Figured id start a topic to kinda help out the downtown scene, say a big Fyou to Hollywood, and hopefully get more people to party with

Positives:
- GREAT Sound and DJ's were awesome
- Big Venue with 2 separate stage areas made it easy to check out more DJ's
- Free balcony seating was awesome and abundant
- Easy to get and strong drinks

Negative:
- Venues is in a bad area
- Venue seemed old/dirty
- The VIP line was longer then GA...?
- Drinks are $10 and cash only (Not surprised about price, just cash only?)


Anyone else go to or plan to go in the future? I know they have Busy-P/SebastiAn (and im assuming other HARD Summer artists) this week and the D.I.M. the following week....discuss

I went to this! I liked the venue's interior. Cheesy red velvet is always fun. The bouncer was power tripping way too much, but I still got in with my fakie. Hehe. I thought Classixx sucked and I couldn't stay for Don Rimini :( The whole crowd looked like they all drank from the ugly well, though.

yea the crowd wasnt the best looking haha. Classixx bored the shit outta me so we went downstairs and saw Robot Love play a great set..... Rimini is always good tho and i cant wait to see him at HARD Haunted Mansion. Overall i enjoyed the night tho and will go again

What bar were you at? We used cards at more than one of them last Friday.

I'd go again, though the drinks are too pricey for downtown. I liked all the fans near the back of the dancefloor, you could drop a few steps back and cool off while dancing.

What was up with them pimping Switch and Spank Rock in the emails? Where were they?

My friend told me about the no plastic thing after being told by one of the bartenders downstairs....Then i saw the ATMs there and figured it must have been universal throughout the place but i guess i was wrong. Thanks for the clarification

Switch played for an hour or so in the Basement stage area and Spank Rock joined him for the first 15min or so of his set.... I think he went on around 2? The stage could be accessed by a stairwell (if your on the stage looking out) in the back left corner of the first floor. The one on the right when down to the basement, and the left went up to the balcony. Here's a vid of their performance

I'll be there tonight to catch one of the 2 DJ's i wanted to see on HARD's line up, then Plump DJ's on saturday. Better DJ's and 2 nights for less money, sounds good to me.
