If I didn't have a job I would do this. My flight to ATP is already costing me $350.

if that were for a year, i'd buy it. but for only one month, i wouldn't really take advantage. nifty concept.

Hopefully this will extend to all months after October. It'd be sweet to have this pass during next summer to hit up all the festivals in the U.S.

Not that great of a deal if it's restricted to one month.

It's a good deal if you're going on a trip that takes you to more than one place. I imagine they're more thinking of people who want to go see a lot at once and have a lot of flights in a short span of time, not people who want to have some sort of flight pass on retainer just in case they want to go somewhere.

If someone is gonna fly enough in a month to make up for spending 600 bucks, imagine all the other costs he/she will have on hotels/rent-a-cars/and all other travel expenses...seems like it would be a lot to be spending in a month span. It would be better if Jet Blue offered this $600 for any 10-12 flights, that you can use over a year span.

I think it's a good deal but should have been given more notice. I'm sure there are people who, with the right amount of notice and planning, would take advantage of it and make vacation plans.

Yes, it's expensive. Travel is a huge industry. People save up for a long time to take trips. Some people do it this way, and often without a deal like this. It'd be better for people like you and me if they offered it as a punchcard, but they're not making any marketing mistakes here. People will buy it. Although as previously mentioned, advance notice probably would benefit them quite a bit.

i would think this would benefit business travel, which also requires advance notice.

that would be far too convenient

some people, like me, have friends and family all over the country, thereby negating rental car/hotel/many other travel related costs.

You can go on a trip every weekend to places you know people and stay with them or at cheap hotels. I can't find where to purchase it on the Jet Blue site though. Is it because i'm stoned or not up as of yet?

Yeah I don't have any use for this. Maybe if I had somewhere to go for xmas, and new years, and then flew to the BCS championship game it would work. But Sept 8- Oct 8 sucks

That rules. Except it would rule even more if I was unemployed and/or retired. And if Jet Blue had flights to Honolulu.

This seems to be geared toward non-planning leisure travelers (like drunks who go out on Friday night and decide to fly to Vegas at the last minute-it happens). Business travelers generally book their flight around a week out and leisure travelers generally book theirs well over a month out. I'm guessing they're using the pass to try to fill up some of their empty seats since JetBlue generally caters to the leisure traveler (much like Southwest). September to October are traditionally the slowest months for every airline. Travel usually picks up again in November because of the holidays and then drops off, albeit not as much, again in January. If this works out for them (if it doesn't lose money), they might do it again between January and February to fill the seats.

Right? So many destinations. Hit up the furthest place every weekend and you are saving a fortune.

Thanks for the link Courtney. :)

The international tickets do cost an additional amount for taxes. The domestic taxes are included from what i'm reading.

This is such a fantastic idea. I might have purchased this had I known about it 2 hours earlier when I was booking my flight to DC.

I really hope this promotion is successful so they can continue offering these in the future.

I wish I could take two weeks off work to bounce around the Caribbean.
