I can't decide so help me out.

Best Western has a shower, pool and a shuttle that runs every 30 min. to and from the fest as well as breakfast.

Guess that depends if there will be a Camp 420 at the Best Western.....

I see all the votes for onsight but I would really like to see responses as to why you think it would be better?

The best western has a pool, a shuttle every 30 minutes, cereal in the morning, s hower and coachella music goin' not to mention less than 10% of the amount of people.

Onsite camping is cheaper, and you don't have to worry about traffic and getting in and out of the festival. I wouldn't really want to swim in a pool that late at night/early in the morning anyway. Showers aren't a big deal, they have em at coachella too. And cereal? Come on. That's not much of a perk.

I'd be so tired that I'd drown in a pool, except Thursday night and maybe Friday morning. Best Western does sound like a hella nice last resort.

Awww... But alas... It's true. On-site camping = New friends and being right next to the entrance of the Fest

True but i'm sure I can make freinds at the Best Western and take a shuttle close to the entrance decisions decisions.

I've got both, just because my brother had no camping pass, but forced to choose, would definitely go with on-site because of the atmosphere and energy of being there at the concert. The only thing that sucks on-site is the mornings(hot and hungover are a bad pair) but if you have a car,and don't mind a slight traffic jam(half an hour or so)you can always get away for a little while.

Yeah, but if you're camping at best western, you're still gonna have to deal with that morning heat.

Yep, you will have to deal with it by jumping in the pool. :)

Onsite camping is cheaper,

Um, no. If he is still deciding now, it must mean he needs to acquire a pass, or will sell the one he has now. If he needs to acquire one, it's 200$ MIN. That's a lot more than Best Western's rate. Simple math, young one.

Yeah, but if you're camping at best western, you're still gonna have to deal with that morning heat.

He could go inside. He could get in the pool. He could make friends and get access to their rooms. Unlimited choices/possibilies.

Not so much with on-site. I'm just sayin'.

The thing is...I preffer to spend my early-ass mornings sleeping. Jumping in a pool would do nothing for me.

Sleeping past 7 in the on-site camp is not really an option, unless you have Ambien and don't care how you feel when you awaken...

You see the difference is, when you wake up you can take a dip in the pool at the best western, onsite your only option is to go stand in a line and sweat for showers. I think despite all of your suggestions i'm leaning way towards the Best Western.

Also, for the record I already have an onsite camping pass as well as a reservation for campsite at the Best Western. If I do ultimately choose the Best Western site I will ebay the onsite camping ticket and pay for my BW reservation with the money so I don't lose out on the more costly camping.

Ok...who here has actually stayed at both??? From my own personal experience, I'd have to say ANYTHING is better than onsite! I'd rather sit in a little traffic after the show and get a good night's sleep than stay in a 6'x6' space with a bunch of drunk frat boys puking next to me all night long. And then stand in line for 2 hours in the morning to take a shower. And eat fast food all weekend or the soggy sandwiches you brought in the cooler because you can't cook. And you cannot bring beer. Maybe it would be fun if you were 18 and didn't need sleep, but us old people over 25 are over that scene.

I have praised onsite camping but this Best Western deal seems like a much better idea. I also had magnets stolen off my car and was told onsite camping parking was full last year despite my camping pass so i'm lookign forward to less chance of stuff happening to my car and less crowded camping with a refreshing pool and captn crunch. HA! The shuttle and pool are a big plus too!

SOLO AT THE POLO

Yes, I will be solo at the polo. The Coachella fest is on the polo fields. The camping area is not a polo field.

i'm 28 and camping AT Coachella. it sounds like fun to me. personally, i'm looking forward to everyone being drunk (or, uhh, fucked up). 'easier to blend in. plus our all-alone-onsite-camping-club is gonna KICK SOME SERIOUS ASS. No A.S.S'S at the best western, or whereever you're stayin.

Onsite, you get your own entrance to the festival and dont have to deal with the mile long line to get in.
