Some of the board folks I met from needing a ride to the festival and they lived in my city. Others I have met because they live in my city and were going to the same shows or movies and we said hey we should say hi. Others were in the Indio area before the festival, others were at the fest just kinda running into people and recognizing them.

Also I think Stef was at a show that I was at Modified right after the fest but we didn't realize this and/or make any contact.

And I forgot MrPibb on my original list! He's a nice guy. I am sorry if I have forgotten other people. But I'ma gonna pretend that I counted phatbjorkslim as one of the people who've yet to migrate to our new digs.

about 10 or 11 of those people are real life los angeles friends (albeit, people i met on this board), who i am friends with outside of the coachella realm. we go to movies and bowling and concerts and road trips and tv nights and indian food restaurants. i'm sure this isn't a big surprise, but most of the people on this board are fucking awesome in real life, and are very easy to get along with. people that i definitely would have been friends with under normal meeting situations - class, work, jobs. only in this case, i know we all automatically have this huge thing in common. we all love this festival to death and look forward to it every year. that's why so many of us stay on here year-long. five years ago, i would have been ashamed at meeting so many of my friends on the internet. now it's just an extension of real life. it works. what can i say.
