I realise that this post will be all to familiar to all the US-based festival and concert goers on here, but as there will be many international visitors to Coachella, many of whom will be going to other shows while in the US, I thought I would mention the experience I had today with Ticketmaster.

I went to purchase a couple of tix for Stephen Marley's gig in San Francisco on April 22. Firstly, the system wouldn't let me buy two tix, but when I tried to buy one at a time it worked fine. So either there was only one ticket left, or they are trying to gouge all the fees they charge to each individual concert goer, rather than only being able to charge once for a block of tickets. I suspect it was the latter.

I was then shocked to find that the total cost of a $23 ticket when they added their various fees was $38. I mean, I know they have to make a commission, but a $15 mark up on a $23 ticket is a total outrage.

I remember a while back that Pearl Jam took them to task over this. I just wonder if any other bands have done the same, or if there has been any campaigns in the music press in the States to try to stop this blatent ripping off of music fans? Something should be done as they are being total greedy bastards.

Nothing is done and nothing will ever be done.

They're a Republican-approved corporation.

Can't be touched.

There is only one feasible way to stop them.

Kill all republicans.

Totally. It was cheaper to buy two student tickets to see Christopher O'Riley at UCLA than to buy one of the cheap seats from ticketmaster. For some reason the computer would only sell me two.

And then let's not forget the $68 Daft Punk ticket, and those $22 gigs at the Troubadour when tickets are supposed to be $10, $12 at the door.
