Ok I'm gonna be standing up for 3 days straight and my back already gets sore after standing up for one concert, any recommendations?
I've got a stiff ass back and a sore neck/shoulders... head leaning forward kind of deal.
Any recommendations? Or is Coachella going to be an advil adventure?
would sometihng like this do anything?

Something like that will definitely help. If it's hot, that part of you waist might become a little irritating to you though. You don't "have" to stand all day (unless you "have" to be as close as possible). Taking a lot of little breaks and laying on the grass or sheet you put on top of the grass will help reduce the stress on your back. This option is usually good at a nice distance for pre sundown Main Stage acts and smaller performers you are hep to but the masses aren't yet.
i would check out the policy on bringing in perscribed and over the counter medication. That wacky Vicodin can be pretty helpful, but you might be a geletain mess if you "have" to booze it up.
Do as much as you can for it before the show. You probably already do stretches and such. Sleeping in a fetal position with a pillow between your knees has been a good suggestion for my back.
i have felt your pain (sorta, because who knows the severity of your's or mine)

If you got liek a girdle type of thing.(I know sounds funny) it could do a better job. If you have a chiropractor I would suggest going to them and asking what you can do about the situation.

Best thing you can do for your back is stretch. Get a book on Yoga stretches for back pain, I got one and it helped the shit out of me. I don't get into all the yoga stuff, although I kinda wish I could, but I do three quick stretches twice a day and it DRASTICALLY reduced my back pain. Also, sit up straight whenever possible, shoes with arch support, etc.

man this is all amazing advice.. thanks so much guys. I am planning on doing yoga between now and the show for sure.. I have to limber up..
But the girder will actually work eh? thats not just for lifting?

i agree witht the yoga stretches. i think it might be best to proactively deal with these type of issues everyday as opposed to reactionary remedies after the fact...
so yeah... stretches, maybe even get one of those balance balls which they sell at target even.

I say no per the weight belt one, like I said go to a chiropractor and ask what you can do for whats going on and they will either tell you to stretch, do yoga and stuff or maybe get you something to help. You got time so look at all te options.

the weight belt might be extreme, but if your back is that much of an issue, extreme probably won't matter to you. The chiro or doctor is a good thing to address the specific needs for you. my back got trashed at werk and i was sent to a doctor for therapy. He provided me with a back support belt much smaller than the one pictured (minus the suspenders). When i was in Quasimodo mode, the belt was a life saver and made moving more bearable. At the time i used the belt period until i became more normal (of course you are recommended not to become too dependant on it). i now use it when ever i do "Any" lifting of a serious nature (pain sucks way too much and i gladly listen to the girdle remarks from younger / dumber co-werkers/comrades). So far, so good.
