we're flying into JohnWayne Int. and i was wondering if there were any places around there, or around Coachella where i could purchase a tent? well, im sure there are places, so what im asking is whats the closest walmart or whatever?
i really dont want to have to get one here in michigan and fly it out there...

There's a new Wal Mart off the 10 go south on Monterey not to far off the freeway. There is a Cost Co there, a theatre, Home Depot, Coffee Grind, like Starbucks, and farther down Monterey to Country Club is an Albertsons, and a real Starbucks. This area is Palm Desert 20 min or so west from Indio, I'm guessing. That's not concert traffic. Plam Desert is right next to Indio, but there may be a closer wal mart than this one.

In La Quinta, right next to Indio, there's a Wal-Mart, Costco, Sam's Club, Target and a Big 5 Sporting Goods store. They're all located on the stretch of Hwy 111 between Washington and Jefferson.
